Up and coming next level players are abundant in the Houston area, I'm just keeping it real yet without a roster, it's kind of hard to identify as my mind-reading skills have deteriorated over the years yet I was still able to get some names of players, with the exception of 2, are from the 2027 class that I hadn't seen or seen enough of to drop on you

Lauren Duckworth-[program_tooltip program_id='715124' first='League' last='City Sharks']

Duckworth gave me a glimpse at the Clear Creek Camp just season and she was one of the many standouts so always remember that I'm always looking for progression. She used her body inside the paint well, she rebounded on both ends, defended, and ran the floor but her court vision from the high post was very nice, and so was her finishing after contact

[player_tooltip player_id='764246' first='Eryn' last='Roberts']-Texas Southern Flames

Roberts is a "long and athletic" guard that has UPS, which means she can elevate off the ground whether it's snagging rebounds, blocking shots, or dropping the jumper. Her explosive first step as well as body control on her finishes is nice, and so is her mid to long-range jumper but she also showed the "catch and shoot" with ease and defended strongly

[player_tooltip player_id='840759' first='Courtland' last='Cloud']-Texas Southern Flames

Cloud is also "long and athletic" with UPS. She has good timing to block, alter and(or) deflect shots, she plays the passing lane and scores off the dribble. She also played "on the ball" defense, baseline to baseline, and helped create turnovers

Adlaia Beverly-Texas Southern Flames

Beverly got out of the MAZE several times, you probably won't catch that but she caught everything using nice hands and footwork on the inside. She also understands positioning and used her body well to rebound and run the floor, on both ends. She even handled the ball coast to coast a few times and scored off the dribble from the wing

Aliyah Woodward- Texas Southern Flames

Woodward is an athletic guard that not only handles the ball under pressure but also does a good job seeing the floor under pressure as well. She creates her shot in the set, showed the jumper while being defended but also attacked the basket off the dribble with either hand to either score or dish

[player_tooltip player_id='967105' first='Madison' last='Madkins']- Houston Queens 14U [2029]

Madkins has some MAD upside when you factor in "she was playing UP" in the high school division and she handled the pressure with ease. She handled the ball and created her shot under pressure, she even dropped the long ball while being defended, and speaking of defended, she applied heat on the flip

[player_tooltip player_id='976551' first='Maleah' last='Mason']- Houston Queens 14U [2030]

Mason has been seen by me several times yet I wanted to commend her on doing what she did against the big girls. One thing I always look for in younger players is how they react in certain situations and if they can things instinctively, she passed both a long time ago yet her poise under pressure, especially handling the ball and creating her shot for the jumper or attacking the basket was very nice
