I consider myself an expert, not because I have a daughter who had over 100 D1 offers and won a National Championship at Texas A&M and recently a WNBA Championship with the Las Vegas Aces, nor because of the hundreds of players who had absolutely nothing on the table I have assisted to go on to the next level. I’m an expert because I see things many can’t see, as well as things I know are coming s here’s what I saw on Friday
5/6TH Grade
Kiara Harjo- Oklahoma Lady Chiefs
Harjo handled the ball and saw the court very well for her age and her ability to handle the pressure thrown at her told me a lot. She’s heady and has a nice feel for the game and her doing things instinctively was very nice. She created her shot and even showed the step back yet her body control while attacking the basket is going to create some problems
Maddie McGirt-Oklahoma Lady Runners
McGirt is long and athletic, which will always be the base and immediately she impressed me with her timing as she came from nowhere to block shots, well she also altered and deflected shots but then she played the passing lane and showed she could handle the ball in the open court to score. he also does a good job attacking the basket in the set and played solid defense
HIGH SCHOOL
Kaleya Silvertown- Oklahoma Lady Runners (Fort Cobb) 2024
Silvertown showed me she could shoot off the top, mid to long-range while being defended yet the range started to get deeper and then showed the “catch and shoot” I just smiled. She saw the floor, attacked the basket off the dribble, and scored after contact. On the flip, she also did a good job defensively “on the ball”
Terayan Jenae- 6’1 F- Oklahoma Lady Runners (Riverside) 2025
Jenae mixed it up nicely, first, she showed nice moves around the basket to finish as well as score on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends. She also ran the floor, on both ends and showed she could defend in and outside the paint but her midrange was nice, she even dropped a 3 yet her “supporting her teammates” while she was on the bench JUST DID IT for me
Ashlee Poolaw-OVO (Anadarko) 2025
Poolaw started off with some impressive moves and her body control was very nice as she not only created contact off the dribble, she finished after the lick. She also dropped the long ball, in transition but she too could “catch and shoot” and saw the floor both in the open court and the set. Let me also add” she played the passing lane”
Karley Parker-OVO (Riverside Indian School) 2024
Parker handled the ball going full speed in transition, under control, and made “on the money passes” in traffic. Her court vision was also nice in the set, even rebounded and went coast to coast to score or dish to teammates. Her pull-up jumper was nice, so was her “on the ball” defense, and her quick hands and playing the passing lane were also nice
