Kendal McDaniel starts off our players rankings update for the 2024 class in the #5 spot after putting together a nice season at Indianola High School. McDaniel is a versitle center with a fairly high ceiling when looking toward the future. She has good size for the center position at 6’1 and has the ability to come out to the three point line to screen and role or screen and pop if need be. When she is in the post she is a good passer when a double team comes and does a good job of rebounding on both sides of the floor on a consistent basis. This year for AAU she will be lacing up for Pure Prep for another spring and summer season as she looks to keep her game in top shape while showing off to a number of high level scouts that she can be a real difference maker in a successful program somewhere out there.

#4. Brooklyn Stanley Brooklyn Stanley 5'8" | PG Bishop Heelan | 2024 State IA – Bishop Heelan High School
Brooklyn Stanley Brooklyn Stanley 5’8″ | PG Bishop Heelan | 2024 State IA really showed off this season that she is a big time point guard who will shine on the biggest of stages when it comes down to it. Stanley is a motivator, a floor general, the definition of a captain. She wills her team to be better on every possession while giving it all she has on a nightly basis. During her high school teams playoff run into the state tournament this year she showed that she was a dominate force at the point guard position with the ability to fill any guard spot needed between the 1-3. She does everything the coach asks of her while also being a dynamic playmaker when her team seems to need it the most. She is a difference maker. Looking toward the future i’m sure her college interest will keep on the rise. She is the type of player you can bring into a college program right away and she will make a positive impact on the floor while bringing a good mind-set along with her.
3. Elise Jaeger Elise Jaeger 6'1" | PF Valley | 2024 State IA – Valley High School
Elise Jaeger Elise Jaeger 6’1″ | PF Valley | 2024 State IA moves up in this players rankings update to the #3 spot in the state in this 2024 class. Jaeger, an athletic and lengthy combo guard, really does a little bit of everything when she is on the floor. She can score, rebound, and defend. What makes her really intriuging is her size accomannied with her basketball skill. She has a high skill set and an even higher motor while possessing a quick first step and high IQ around the basket. During her junior season she averaged 12.7 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and 2.2 APG on the way to leading her team to the state tournament in Des Moines. Showing off that she is a versatile player who would do several good things on a college floor when given the opportunity. Her stats really speak volumes to the type of player she is. She would do anything to see the teammates around her succeed and that speaks maybe more than anything.
#2. Callie Levin Callie Levin 5'10" | PG Solon | 2024 State IA – Solon High School
Callie Levin Callie Levin 5’10” | PG Solon | 2024 State IA led her Solon Spartans high school team to their first state appearance in 16 years this past season where they fell just short, but not due to a lack of effort or heart. Levin, the U of Iowa women basketball commit, did her thing again this season and made a statement on the court each and every game. Her game is smooth. She has an elite handle while always keeping her head up on the dribble, can score the ball at a high rate, and is a good defender of all positions on the floor at the high school level because of her size. On top of all that she does a fantastic job communicating and letting her teammates know what is happening on the floor around them. Something that is quite impressive to witness. When thinking toward the future and her college commitment I think that Levin can be a solid player for the Hawkeyes. I think her natural ability at the point guard position while her scoring skill-set is something that could help the Hawks compete in the Big 10 over the next few seasons following the departure of Clark. Until then Levin will have 1 more chance to lead her team back to the state tournament with an opportunity to bring home a title to Solon, Iowa. Something I’m sure she has dreamed of ever since she was little.

#1. Aili Tanke Aili Tanke 6'0" | SG Johnston | 2024 State IA – Johnston High School
Aili Tanke Aili Tanke 6’0″ | SG Johnston | 2024 State IA showed this season that she was, no-doubt, the best player in the 2024 class in the state of Iowa. Wether it was during the regular season or all the way through the playoffs, Aili performed at an elite level almost every game. She led her Johnston Dragons team to the state championship where they fell just short against the Pleasant Valley Spartans. In this contest she scored 23 of her teams 56 total points, not to mention all the little things she did on both sides of the floor to help get her team to that point. Things like diving for loose balls, guarding the other teams best player who happened to be a Marquette women’s basketball commit, and rebounding at an high rate. She is committed to Iowa State in the future with some of this states other top stars in the 23, 24, and 25 classes. I would imagine with her skill-set and physical abilities that she is going to see the floor as soon as she steps on campus, something I’m sure she is more then excited about.
