2026 HEART OF TEXAS STANDOUTS Part 2

The Freshies were on full display at the Heart of Texas Showcase and they did not disappoint. Here is Part 2 of a loaded class!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ava Raymond - <strong>5'8 G (Louisiana Aces) Zachary</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At one point she was just classified as a shooter, well someone has been in the gym! It showed during the first viewing period as the lengthy guard prospect scored the rock in a variety of ways Floaters, pull-up jumpers, step-backs etc. Her size at the guard spot is a plus all the while being deceptively quick off the bounce! She showcased one of the prettiest strokes from deep that I had seen all tourney. Another kid that will shoot up our rankings!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Journee Johnson - <strong>6'0 G/F (Louisiana</strong> <strong>United) Vandebilt Catholic</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Known for her shooting ability and slim frame, Journee aka “Slim Sniper” has shown great improvement from her ACL injury last year. The Vandebilt Catholic freshman can score from all 3 levels of the floor. Her length allows her to be a defensive nuisance which causes havoc against players and her offensive game is as smooth as butter. Also, she can light it up from 3. Journee had a nice showing at the “Heart of Texas” event last week. College coaches, be on the lookout for this kid to have a great summer with her Louisiana United Ball Club.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bailey Timmons - <strong>5'7 G (Kenner Angels) John Curtis</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A kid I've just always liked and she did nothing for me to change that during the first viewing period. Showing a good handle and feel for the game Bailey was at her best getting downhill and making plays for herself as well as her teammates. Her size at the guard spot helps her dictate and win angles at the guard spot. This is another one of those kids ill label as (Do More) because she simply has the skillset and attributes to DO MORE!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sienna Guidry -<strong> 5'7 G (Lake City Pride) Hathaway</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>By now everyone in Louisiana knows she has a burner and it was on full go in Texas! Known as a shooter she did that at a high level but she also showed she Has become a good rebounder. Tough as nails and always on the ground for loose balls her shooting ability spaces the floor and causes mismatches for the opposition as she shows a solid head fake and blow by! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Zariell Pollard - <strong>6'2 C (Louisiana United) Thibadeaux</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the recruiting world today size matters, and Zariell has a lot of it. The 6'2 young big was a monster on the boards all weekend using her body to carve out space to pull down offensive and defensive rebounds for her United Squad. For a young big she has a soft touch around the rim. Like most young bigs there's a lot of room for growth offensively as defensively she's a solid shot blocker who moves very well for her size.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
