Grace Zortman Grace Zortman 5'6" | CG Homestead | 2025 State WI
There aren’t many players who perform as consistently as Grace Zortman Grace Zortman 5'6" | CG Homestead | 2025 State WI . The Homestead product doesn’t need the ball in her hands to score and constantly does damage with two feet in the paint. She can rebound at a high level for a 5-7 guard, and when she puts points on the board, it’s mostly on drives or following an offensive rebound. She’s always a positive force and does an excellent job creating extra possessions by creating turnovers grabbing offensive rebounds, or retrieving loose balls.
There’s something fun when watching Camdyn Kay Camdyn Kay 5'10" | CG Dubuque Hempstead | 2024 State IA catch fire from the perimeter. The Dubuque Hempstead wing can be a little streaky at times, but when she’s in rhythm, there isn’t a kid I can think of who can elevate their team to the level Kay can. During Iowa’s high school season, Kay caught fire against a defending state champion and nearly knocked them off. If it weren’t for a rough 3rd quarter, that game could’ve ended differently. Whoever lands Kay at the next level has a chance to bring in a kid who could alter multiple games at the college level.
Lexi Fuhremann
I hadn’t seen Fuhremann much before this weekend, but I liked what I saw from her. She’s a slightly undersized forward at 5-11 but fits in whichever system you’d want her to play. The Waunakee native moves her feet well on the perimeter. Fuhremann can switch in a pinch, sets good screens, gives her guards a target when she rolls, rebounds her area well, and contests shots without fouling. Players at her age who don’t need the ball to do positive things on the floor aren’t as common as you’d think, and most of them will play good minutes at the next level.
Lauren Capstran Lauren Capstran 5'7" | CG Franklin | 2024 State WI
Capstran, and her Impact team as a whole, caught fire against the Wolverinas 2024 group and closed the game on an unbelievable run. Capstran showed her ability to make perimeter jumpers and to punish defenses from helping off her. The Franklin Saber plays a role on her teams and tends to take advantage of every situation she can, and with any amount of space behind the 3-point line, she’ll hurt defenses.
