of Dubuque Hempstead committed to lace up and compete with Clarke University out of Dubuque. This move makes a lot of sense if you know anything about Kay. She is someone that takes a lot of pride in where she comes from and I’m sure that played a factor in her choice to stay home and compete for a college that is near to where she grew up. Kay’s game is effective to say the least. She is a player that loves physicality. She understands how and when to attack her opponent off of the dribble, usually finishing at the basket with some type of finish, Defensively, she is just as good. She moves to the ball and doesn’t give up on a play, even if she gets beat in some way. At Clarke, Kay is going to have to work to see the floor. Her game translates in a few ways but not if she doesn’t do the fundamental things to start off. Once she gets comfortable with her new team and whole idea of being in college finally, I’m sure she is going to put up some productive numbers as a “home-town” hero.

has some offers to play at Collegiate level and I can see why. Kay is a Combo Guard with good size and a physical demeanor. She has more of a guard like skill-set, while wanting to attack her opponents on a consistent basis. Most of the time, she likes to go toward the hoop looking for AND1 opportunities off of the dribble but she can also step back and hit a three or create for the others around her. This high school season Kay is going to have to be a big producer on the court if her team wants to find success. They will be older this year and more experienced as a whole but it all starts from the leader in front and that will be Kay. As for after high school, I think that her commitment is going to come sooner rather then later but we will just have to wait and see.

was a standout for her
Iowa Prep
17U Platinum team this spring/summer. No other way to put it. There were a handful of games in which Kay scored 20 points and had 20 rebounds, all from the guard position. This AAU season Kay has really grown into her own when it comes to the game of basketball. She is confident on the floor, a playmaker by every definition of the phrase, an athlete, and she understands game strategy. This season she was the biggest game changer for her AAU team, in most of the contests that they competed in. Over these past few months her interest has ramped up in a major way when it comes to her college recruitment. She has received calls from almost every Division-3 school in the state of Iowa, while also talking to some other Universities throughout the Midwest. Kay belongs on this second team. She was just to dominate in almost every aspect of the game this AAU season.

is a player that I have mentioned more than a few times this spring because of her game-play on the AAU floor. She has been a dominate leader on both sides of the court, each weekend she competes with her Iowa Prep 17U Platinum team. Kay, a 5’10 guard, is versatile. She is physical, can score at all three levels of the floor, rebound better than most her size, and can defend a guard or post on a high school floor. This spring has been big for Kay as she is receiving a lot of interest going into July. Keep an eye on her over these next few months. I have a feeling she is going to be picking up some more offers before the high school season tips.

is a player I have written about a few times this spring. An individual with a high motor, physical prowess, and a lot of heart who plays the game right. Each time I have had the chance to sit down to watch this team perform, she has been the X factor and it’s not even close. She brings so many good things to the floor that when she is missing it is very noticeable. This summer season leading into high school ball is going to be big for her and I’m sure she is going to make the most of it.

in the article above. A player whom I shouted out on Day 1 of the Legacy Classic for being a top performer, who carried that momentum into Sunday and put on an even better performance for her squad, ultimately leading them to an overall successful weekend as a whole. I think a perfect example for the weekend she put together is reflected in her stats. In two of her contests that she led her team to victory she recorded 28 points/14 rebounds & 16 points/11 rebounds. If that doesn’t say everything I don’t know what will. Kay is a big part of this team, when she is in the game they act/play more efficiently. This Iowa Prep 2024 Platinum group was debatably the best team there this weekend at the 17U level when they had all their players, a big part of that begin because of Kay.

showed up this afternoon for her
Iowa Prep
2024 Platinum team. Kay, a physical and savvy combo guard put together quite the game. She displayed a great sense for what was happening on the floor, was diving for loose balls left and right, and stuffed the stat sheet in several different categories throughout the contest. I think the best part of Camdyn’s game is that she is consistent and keeps it simple. For example, in this one her team had a huge size advantage in the post. Kay and company did a great job of feeding their center consistently throughout the ball game, leading to a 30 point victory over a well known
CY Select
program. If she can continue to stay consistent with how she is producing, then she will be fielding a good amount of calls from college programs in the near future this spring, if she isn’t already.

Strong and athletic guard who got every look she wanted. Able to put the ball on the floor at a consistent rate and finish through contact. Has the ability to spread the floor and shoot from deep when given a moment to set her feet. A hard-worker who leaves everything out on the floor and plays with a positive attitude.

Over-all shotmaker. Can get hot in a hurry. Excels on the floor in a number of categories on offense and defense. Plays with a lot of energy and positive emotion. Is very self-aware of what is going on. Communicates well with teammates, no matter how intense the situation.
