This was one of the biggest events AZ has had in a while with 400+ teams from the Southwest. I personally watched a few games of 16 and 17U.
Here are some of the Best Performances from 2026-27 that I viewed
Aspen McClees Aspen McClees 5'10" | PF Gilbert | 2026 State AZ Gilbert (Arizona Elite 17)
One of the more all-around freshmen who plays and defends multiple positions. She will grab a rebound and push it. She handles the ball well and will dime her teammates or will go coast to coast. She has a nice runner game and strong frame to absorb contact.
Grace Beckler Grace Beckler 6'0" | PF Basha | 2026 State AZ Basha (Arizona Elite 16 Black)
A long wing freshman handles the ball and will run the break and finish. She can pull-up from mid to the three off the dribble. Defensively she has very active hands combined with her long arms to disrupt the passing lanes and to rebound. Despite the Bears struggles as a team, she played well with 12.4 ppg and nearly 10 rebounds a game.
Kinsey Murray Kinsey Murray 5'7" | PG Valley Vista | 2027 State AZ Valley Vista (Arizona Elite 16 Black)
One of the top on-ball defenders I viewed is a true ball hawk. She steals everything near her with quick hands and feet. She can take the ball coast to coast and impressively is a very good passer off of a live dribble. It wouldn’t surprise me to see her play varsity early in her HS career.
Caia Campbell Caia Campbell 5'8" | CG Phhoenix Prep | 2027 State AZ Phhoenix Prep (Arizona Elite 16 Black)
A super strong lefty combo guard can score it already from all levels. She can pull-up off the dribble and shoot it from the three. She gets downhill with her nice handle and frame and isn’t afraid of contact. The daughter of a coach plays with a huge IQ and seems to always make the correct read.
Taylor Sipfle Taylor Sipfle 6'4" | C Hamilton | 2026 State AZ Red Mountain (Arizona Elite 16 Black) (Pictured)
One of the tallest girls in the class and state. She boxes out like you should and will grab every rebound near her. She blocks shots and knows how to wall up to make it very difficult to score over her. She moves well in space, sets strong picks and scores around the rim.
Bella Burcar Bella Burcar 5'10" | SF Perry | 2026 State AZ Flagstaff (Arizona Elite 16 Black)
A fluid guard with great size. She is a versatile all-around girl who does a little bit of everything. She can bang inside with the post players using her size and then take the reigns and make a nice pass to a cutter. She can hit the deep three plus dribble drive to the basket to score.
JaiDen Rhodes JaiDen Rhodes 5'4" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2027 AZ AZ Compass Prep (AZ Supreme Blue)
A true point guard is a real facilitator up the court. She guides the team and has a burst into the lane and will finish with her left or right hand. She works well off of screens and will thread it in or burst for a layup. She most likely will be heading to AZ Compass Prep.
America Cazares America Cazares 5'7" | CG Pueblo | 2026 State AZ Pueblo (AZ Supreme Blue)
A polished freshman that has already been battle tested with making a deep finals run in 4A. She can score on deep triples plus will pull-up off the dribble from mid. She is a good defender using her size and makes intelligent reads to her teammates. With her star sister graduating, it will be interesting if they just give her the ball to make a play or score.
