Chiawana
She might be listed as a forward but she has all the skills of a guard and length to go with it. She has great shot mechanics and can hit shots from deep without much effort. She is good in the open floor, can handle it on the break and finish at the rim. She makes floaters, you name it. She is one of the most talented prospects in the state. She averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds per game this season, with 31 made threes. She can play anywhere on the floor and play it well. High ceiling player. rn
Gianna had a great freshman season on a young and talented team. She also is a good shooter from three with 34 made. She is a steady point guard who handled the pressure well for a freshman, also contributing 2.1 assists per game. This is a team that will be dangerous next season with Malia Ruud Malia Ruud 6’2″ | PF Chiawana | 2025 State WA in the post and Marisela Cantreres also at the guard position. Medelez will be a sophomore, the other three juniors next year. rn
North Thurston
Soraya is a super talented guard who can score, and handle the rock. She is quick off the dribble, and makes it tough for the defense to stay in front. She also has step back jumpers, and floaters to go with it. Her ball-handling skills are what you notice first, she has a good handle to set up her jumpers. She averaged 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals per game her sophomore season. Colleges are starting to take notice of the talented junior to be.rn
Grace has a lot of athletic ability, and versatility. She does many things well. She made 34 threes and her shot mechanics suggest a higher percentage is to come. She is a good rebounding guard with decent size and good quickness. Between the two, they averaged 7 steals per game this season. They also combined for 90 threes, leading North Thurston to a regional round berth in the 3A state tournament.rn
Woodinville
Hailey is a knock down shooter from three with a quick release. With so many offensive weapons this season, she was productive and played her role well, coming in and hitting shots. She is also a steady ball handler with a high basketball IQ. She should make a big jump in her offensive production next season as a player who can hit threes in bunches. rn
She plays on the wing and is also a three point specialist. She has great length for a perimeter player and is capable of getting hot, which she did with a season high 30 points vs Lynden Christian. As she grows more confident in her game, she will develop into an all levels scorer who can get more buckets in the paint. Both will only be junior sophomores next season. With the ultra talented Lyla Kahrimanovic Lyla Kahrimanovic 6’0″ | SG Woodinville | 2024 State WA h playing the small forward, this will once again be a dangerous team in Class 4A.
