Campos really played well in the paint. One of the strongest parts of her game is her relentless pursuit of the ball on the boards. She has the quickness and elite jumping ability which is why she recorded numerous double-doubles this past high school season. At Candice Dupree Invitational, Campos was a force on the inside. She is extremely athletic and sometimes makes super plays look routine. At Candice Dupree Invitational, the Freshman Forward did just that. Campos was also a standout on defense, showcasing a lot of versatility. One minute she is banging inside and the next minute she is out on the perimeter stopping a guard from getting to the rim. Campos’s offensive game is developing outside the paint, but she is already elite in the painted area.
Griffin is an exceptional athlete and the reigning player of the year in her high school district. The talented Freshman can play all 5 positions on the court. At Candice Dupree, the Freshman was a top performer. One play in particular comes to mind. Griffin grabbed a rebound and took it Coast to Coast , euro stepped a defender, and finished with a reverse layup. Griffin got to the rim at will and either converted baskets or got to the free-throw line. She netted some three pointers, showed her shooting abilities all over the court, and excelled in the transition game. Griffin was also good on the boards, especially getting offensive rebounds.
Ray has an exceptional basketball IQ and she plays the game as if she is a four year senior instead of a first-year Freshman. Ray gets great position in the post area and does a good job of getting baskets in the paint. She plays very well when she is at the free-throw line. She has a nice midrange shot and she is a very good passer for a “big.” Ray can also put the ball down and drive to the basket or she can hit you with an array of moves utilizing her excellent footwork. Ray is a hard-working player on the offensive end, and works just as hard on the defensive end. At the Candice Dupree Invitational, Ray held her own against a lot of older players. She is already a force, and she is going to be a “problem” in the very near future.
Asanya is power forward who can do a little of everything including step out and shoot the ball on the perimeter. She really is a force in the middle and does a good job on the offensive end as well as on the defensive end. What I like about her game is her ability to communicate with her teammates make sure that everyone is in the right position at all times. Offensively, she can shoot from the free-throw line in and also play the power game in the middle. Asanya showed versatility playing out on the wing in some offensive sets and then getting in the post and playing with her back to the basket. Defensively, she did a good job of defending the paint and even rejecting several shot attempts.
Jaelle Suggs
Jaelle Suggs
Suggs was one of the best shooting forwards I saw in the 2026 Class at the Candice Dupree Invitational. On Day 2, she had the 3 ball cooking in the first half of one game, connecting on three of them. Suggs gets to her spots on the court and she lets that long ball fly when she gets the opportunity. She also showed that she could rip to the midrange if a defender closes out too fast defending the long shot.
