There were some tremendous individual performances over the weekend at the Minnesota AAU State Tournament. We couldn't see all of the players, of course, but these are the best of the best that we did see. The Prep Girls Hoops All-Tournament Team is based on the age group the players competed in, not their graduation year. That means a player in the Class of 2025 can be selected to the 2024 team if they are playing up one year. Also, the selections are for Division 1 competition only.

FIRST TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='215958' first='Tori' last='McKinney'] – The lengthy guard from North Tartan EYBL earned our Most Valuable Player designation. Tori's recovery after an injury absence of nearly a year has been remarkable as we watched the Minnetonka junior lead her team to another state championship. She scored big buckets, made big plays and as per usual came up with crucial defensive stops. She's ranked #4 in the Class of 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='252387' first='Aaliyah' last='Crump'] – The top-rated prospect in Minnesota's Class of 2025 has incredible long-term potential but it was her exceptional play in the here and now that helped propel North Tartan to the title. The Minnetonka sophomore scored 52 points over the weekend including 19 in her team's semifinal win over Minnesota Stars 3SSB. She made 18 free throws in the event, which is an offensive contribution too often overlooked.

[player_tooltip player_id='205310' first='Tori' last='Oehrlein'] – The #1-rated prospect in the Class of 2026 is at the center of everything Minnesota Suns S40 does. From her elite distribution to her scoring production to her often-overlooked rebounding prowess, the 5'11 guard from Crosby-Ironton helped the Suns make it all the way to the championship game for the second straight year. She scored 62 points in the tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='296527' first='Aneisha' last='Scott'] – Metro Stars Szabla was the tournament's biggest surprise. Entering the event as the #7 seed, the team earned a 3rd place finish. Scott's role in that was huge as the DeLaSalle point guard provided consistent offensive production. Aneisha had 56 points in four games and kept opponents on their heels throughout. Playing up one year, Scott is the #21 prospect of 2025.

Ashton Safranski – The 5'7 point guard from Fargo Davies has been directing traffic for Minnesota Stars 3SSB for years and never seems to get enough credit for all that she can do. Safranski had 43 points in the tournament with 9 three-point baskets in leading the Stars to a top-four finish. She is currently ranked #2 by Prep Girls Hoops in North Dakota's Class of 2024.

SECOND TEAM

[player_tooltip player_id='215956' first='Claire' last='Stern'] – The Suns' second-place finish really was a team effort, but Stern's contributions deserve to be singled out. The 5th-ranked junior and North Dakota State commit from Maple Grove averaged 10 ppg.

[player_tooltip player_id='461358' first='Mallory' last='Czinano'] – The big power forward for Metro Stars Szabla is having a breakout year and played a key role in her team's outstanding weekend. The Watertown-Mayer junior averaged 10 ppg and was a force on the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='215968' first='Kendall' last='Barnes'] – The athletic point guard from Stars 3SSB can fill up the basket when she gets rolling and that's exactly what the Roseville junior did. She scored 59 points in the event, including 30 against the Szabla team.

[player_tooltip player_id='307818' first='Mylea' last='Monahan'] – North Tartan EYBL guard's contributions to the success of her team cannot be measured by the scoresheet unless you are tracking defensive stops and hustle plays. Playing up a year, the Glencoe-Silver Lake sophomore was terrific.

[player_tooltip player_id='178266' first='Angel' last='Hill'] – The two-way guard from Stars 3SSB is coming off a great high school season at Minnehaha Academy, a run that has continued right into the spring. She averaged over 13 ppg and was crucial defensively.

Honorable Mention

[player_tooltip player_id='302307' first='Elisabeth' last='Gadient'] – Fury 2024 Premier

[player_tooltip player_id='178265' first='Kadence' last='Hesse'] – Rise Purfeerst

[player_tooltip player_id='178267' first='Rhyan' last='Holmgren'] – Rise Purfeerst

[player_tooltip player_id='339095' first='Bailey' last='Klote'] – Southern Minnesota Fury

[player_tooltip player_id='178269' first='Liv' last='McGill'] – Metro Stars 3SSB

[player_tooltip player_id='215985' first='Olivia' last='Pawlicki'] – Suns S40

[player_tooltip player_id='178271' first='Willow' last='Thiel'] – Metro Stars Szabla

[player_tooltip player_id='178274' first='Amy' last='Thompson'] – Fury 2024 UAA

[player_tooltip player_id='178273' first='Taylor' last='Tool'] – Crossfire Schuck

[player_tooltip player_id='178277' first='Jordan' last='Zubich'] – Fury 2024 UAA
