This past weekend marked the annual "The Classic" tournament in Louisville, Kentucky, hosted by Ohio Basketball. There were close to 100 teams from Indiana in attendance, 48 total courts in use, and a number of the nation's top colleges and universities represented. I continued my quest to see each Indiana grassroots team this Spring & Summer multiple times, so I had a specific schedule, but I did stumble into a couple of teams I have already seen multiple times early this Spring. Below is a look at five post prospects who I felt stood out in the games I was able to watch this weekend.

Well, Journee is a Junior, but she is someone I think many Midwestern small colleges would like and need to get out to see her soon. She has a long, fairly athletic frame. She plays hard and runs the floor well, plus she has solid hands and footwork. She could still stand to get a little stronger and absorb contact better, but she certainly has the potential to do so. She has some touch in the mid-post, and she can score the ball around the block with a variety of moves.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["572816"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Ella has a broad frame, a lot of power, and she plays with a motor. She likes to seek physicality and gain position early in possessions, at either end of the floor. Defensively, she does best by rooting out opponents and keeping them away from the basket. She could get a little quicker laterally in ball-screen situations, but she does work hard at it. Offensively, she is more of an opportunistic scorer who gets u0022scrapsu0022 baskets off of offensive rebounds or dump-off passes from guard penetration. However, she does have soft hands, and she has some touch to about 15-feet. She could be a nice small college post.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["201868"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Throughout her career, Madelyn has been surrounded by strong frontcourt players at Washington, whether they are older or younger, so she gets a lot more opportunity at times during the Spring u0026amp; Summer. She has a wiry-strong frame, great length, and she's somewhat bouncy. She's a little rigid laterally, but she runs the floor well North/South. When she posts, she attempts to u0022out-athleteu0022 her opponents and beat them to the basket with quickness and burst. As she gets stronger, her post repertoire should grow. Defensively, she's a nice help-side defender, and she uses her length well to protect the rim.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["295791"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Kaelyse recently rejoined the Pocket City team after not beginning the grassroots season with anyone. She has a huge frame, broad shoulders, and great length. She is still so much bigger than most opponents, that she simply plays above them. When she keeps the ball high, she is most effective, though she could use a little weight room work to continue building her base. She gets in trouble when she plays lower and comes down to her opponents' level. But she has some mid-post touch, solid power moves around the block, and she is an intimidating presence at the defensive end, altering/blocking most shots.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["486519"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Katherine is another one of those talented front-liners in the Lady Hatchet rotation at Washington. She has an extremely long, wiry, athletic frame, and she moves well in most directions. She plays with a really nice motor, and she is always willing to do whatever her team needs. At times, she has a little of the u0022baby deeru0022 look at the 17U level, but it's very easy to see her potential to develop into a scholarship prospect these next three years. She is a willing rebounder/defender, and once she finishes growing and gains more strength, her offensive assertiveness and production should become consistent.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-646e02199b5a4"} /-->
