I’m not going to repeat any names in this article, so here are five additional players (not necessarily point guards) that showed strong floor general skills throughout the weekend.
Wright is such a smart playmaker. She was constantly getting her teammates involved in the offense. Sees the floor and has a high basketball IQ. She can apply a lot of pressure defensively and she can score herself inside or outside of the perimeter. Finished some really nice floaters around the basket and finished with both hands.
Gober is a really solid player and while she wasn’t always playing the PG position this weekend, her floor general skills were still on display. She has a basketball IQ. She is consistently making plays with and without the ball. Always was thinking a play ahead and ready to pass up the court. Can score in crafty ways around the basket, makes strong drives to the hoop, and plays fearless.

Miller was impressive all tournament long. Strong and can play inside or out. Put her in this particular article because of her ability to see the floor and direct her teammates to the right positions on the court. Gets into passing lanes defensively. Offensively, can finish even with a defender on her by simply overpowering them. Can knock down shots as well.

Weathers plays with no fear. She’s got a good, quick handle and can get a step on her defender with ease. Made some good passes and facilitated well. Also made good decisions in transition and had some great assists when help defense stepped over on her.
McKenzie’s ability to apply a lot of pressure defensively is what initially caught my eye. She was playing absolutely fearless. Sees the floor and makes good passes in transition. Can handle the ball well and can knock down shots quickly. She has PG skills, but actually plays more of a shooting or combo guard position. However, because of her court vision and the way she managed the court, I had to include her here.
