The skills on display is something the coaches and scouts will be talking about for a long time. Every team needs a player who can score at will and create plays for their teams. Here are some of the players that stood out to me.
Faison was one of the most athletic players I had seen on the weekend. Her ability to bring the ball down the floor as well as post up on the block, created matchup problems all over the court. A player that knows the game well and knows how to take over when needed. Crashes the boards hard and uses her length to score over the small defenders. A playmaker in every way with her ability to score at all 3 levels.
Tyre is a High IQ guard that can do it all. A player that knows how to score at any given moment. I watched a few teams try to take her away but its almost tough to stop her when she has the ball in her hands. A player that can score at all 3 levels but also facilitate. Knows how to get open but also use the screen to get her shot off. A pure scorer who made 16 points look easy. Her scoring streaks tend to take place as the game goes on.
Kelley is the workhorse that lurks around the basket to finish at the rim. A player that is strong and knows how to absorb the contact and finish. The player that does all the dirty work to make sure her team is successful. She knows how to find the soft spot in the defense and score inside or outside. Her ability to rebound on both ends of the floor is her strongest attributes and she creates extra possessions for her teammates. The player that gets to all the 50/50 balls and has the ability to score when needed.
Booker is a player that is going to receive a lot of accolades before the summer ends. I watch her tear through the defense all weekend. A force that could not be stopped. Her handles and quickness allow her to beat most players off the dribble. She also has one of the best stop on a dime pull up jump shots. Always keeping the defense guessing her next move. Just when you think you figured it out she is scoring at the rim.
Sippola has all the intangibles of a next level guard. Her ability to move without the basketball and score at will makes her unstoppable at times. A player that handles the ball well and knows how to read the defense. She made some unbelievable shots with a hand in her face. Her signature move is the one dribble pull up in transition which catches the defense off guard. A 2 way player that never seems to get tired.

Simmons is a game changer. I watched her hit shot after shot from behind the arc. Always moving without the basketball and knowing when to shoot the 3 ball and when to drive. A player whose range starts as soon as she steps on the floor and if you give her too much space, she can consistently shoot it from deep. Her quick release allows her to get her shot off quickly. A player with a lot of different scoring tools in her bag. Exciting player to watch.
Pirkle really impressed with her ability to post strong on the block but also knock down the high post shot. A player that has great footwork around the block which allows her to score at will inside. A player that moves her feet well on defense and showed her ability to step out and guard on the perimeter. A walking double double who her team can rely on when they need a basket.

Booker was by far one of the top players at the tournament and showed everyone why she is one of the top players in North Carolina. I watched her put pressure on the defense with her ability to handle the ball under pressure and still score through contact. She knew how to protect the ball and draw the foul on the defenders. She made some acrobatic layups consistently thorough out the weekend. A player that knows how to create her own shot.
