The Summer Championships allowed for prospects to show where they are right before the live period events. This event had quite a few of the top level players to come out.

Here are some of the standout players that I saw throughout the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='205641' first='Elli' last='Guiney'] Millennium (Arizona Elite Black 17U) (Featured Image)

Elli showed that she might be the most well rounded player in her class. She handed out assists, shot the ball, and played the passing lanes on defense at a high rate. Her 3 ball was already very good but it looked as if she has been putting in extra work on it.

[player_tooltip player_id='588408' first='Nykyah' last='Williams'] Phhoenix Prep (Desert Unit Basketball)

Williams was a terror as usual for opposing coaches. Her speed once again sets her apart from everyone else. When she plays like she did in this event the sky is the limit. She picked her spots to get her own shots without forcing things. The attention she drew made it so much easier for her teammates to get going.

[player_tooltip player_id='205642' first='Mia' last='Singstock'] Pinnacle (Arizona Elite Black 17U)

Mia was clicking on all cylinders over the weekend. Her shot was falling as usual but where she stood out was the other phases of the game. She rebounded well and often beat defenders out on the break for layups. She's letting it be known that she's more than a shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='65614' first='Aaliyah' last='Garcia'] Dobson (Rez Bombers)

Garcia played at a excellent pace and never got sped up. Her hesitation dribble often froze defenders which created scoring opportunities for herself and for teammates. She threaded the needle with some excellent passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='558893' first='Taliyah' last='Henderson'] Salpointe Catholic (AZ Supreme)

One of the top 2025's in the country showed why she's been piling up the offers. She showed her superior athleticism and motor skills. On offense she thrives off the dribble mostly but proved she could hit perimeter shots as well. On defense she was a pest often picking up her man full court.

[player_tooltip player_id='205665' first='Ahdiayh' last='Chee'] Dobson (AZ Fun N Gun)

Chee had stretches this weekend when she didn't miss from the perimeter. It didn't matter if she was alone or a defenders hand in her face. Her change of pace and wiggle with the ball made it hard to figure out if she was going to pull up and shoot or keep going to the interior.
