MLK Classic Standouts

Pusch Ridge vs Sabino, Douglas vs Amphi and Nogales vs Sunnyside. She sees the game at an elite level on both sides of the ball. A true point guard who controls the pace of the game. A skilled dribbler who allows the play to develop and executes quickly and effectively  if she spots a weakness in the defense. Hustles in transition and came up with some huge blocks for the Sunnyside Blue Devils. Stays active constantly setting screens for her team. Works the pick and roll extremely well. Has a high level mid range game. Cuts hard to the basket. Rebounds very well. Accounted for 7 rebounds in the first half for the Blue Devils. She came out on a mission scoring ten points in the third quarter after Sunnyside was struggling to get some shots down. Was one of the top defensive performers of the day here at McKale Center. She is a ferocious on ball defender. Has great speed she uses to get by the defense especially on fast breaks. Crashes the boards with purpose and rebounds well for her position. She has incredible speed. She was scoring very well in transition. Came up with quite a few steals that she took and scored the other way. She has great defensive IQ. She reads passes and is quick to intercept them. Has a long wingspan that allows her to do this very well. Rebounds exceptionally well and is very vocal. Does a good job of getting the ball in the post and making the right plays. Is confident with her mid range shot. Very active in the paint on both sides of the ball. Rebounds the ball extremely well. Was two points shy off a double double in the first half. She finished the first half with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Disciplined defender and shot blocker. Sanburn looks like a top five forward in a very talented 2027 class. She plays with confidence, hustles to make plays and seems unphased by opponents. Crashes the boards with a purpose and can quickly find her teammate on the fastbreak for the score. Strong on the defensive side. Will get the steal and run the floor for the layup. Great passing ability. Skilled dribbler who will fake right then go behind the back into her shot.&nbsp;A hustle player with an extremely strong motor. Sunukjian can flat out play.
