They are all so the most overlooked and underrated players on the team until they reach college where assist stats count. Here are five the top 5 in the latest rankings update.
Kyndal held on to the top spot overall and for point guards. Kyndal has mastered the ability to score and get others involved preventing defenses from playing five on four. She has good size for the point which will allow her to guard multiple positions in college.
Highlights
Maddie had grew up as one of the smaller players which made her a natural for the position and gave her time to learn and grow in the position. In high school she had her growth spurt and everything just went next level overnight. She is one of the better shooters in the region and is a player that can’t be left open.
Leah has been in a unique position to run a college level team that featured multiple All-American level players. She is prepared for the next level and at #5 gives the rankings an unprecedented three point guards in the top five. The ACC bound point guard will find a lot of opportunities to hit the floor because of her ability to shoot.
Madisyn has faced multiple defenses and I have seen her navigate different looks from traps, zone presses and full blitzes. She makes good decisions but seeing her attack is when she is at her best. She keeps her head up when driving and doesn’t give up on plays and opportunities to find a wide open player who’s defender came over to help.
Aliyah is really good at navigating through gaps in defenses. She has a nice mid-range pullup that allows her to avoid engaging the big post players waiting for her. She has some shifty moves to get around players closing out so that she can finish by the rim.
