#6 Jasmine Gipson Jasmine Gipson 6'0" | SF Duncanville | 2025 State TX (Duncanville) and #8 Kianna Wormly Kianna Wormly 5'9" | SF Vista Ridge | 2025 State TX (Vista Ridge) jumped into the Top 10, check out Stock Risers but here ya go
Aaliyah Chavez Aaliyah Chavez 5'9" | PG Monterey | 2025 State TX -5’9 PG (Monterey)
#1 I saw Chavez play before middle school and dropped the #D1Lock on her and although many are conservative with their views on players at a young age, I’m not because I know where the bar has been set and more importantly I know what I’m looking at and her acrobatic finishes are something to see, as well s her ability to take over games offensively
Ayla McDowell Ayla McDowell 6'2" | SF Cy Springs | 2025 State TX -6’2 SF (Cy Springs)
#2 McDowell is “long and athletic” and if you haven’t been paying attention to what I say, that is THE BASE so what are her intangibles? Let’s start with her timing as she blocks shots with ease, alters and deflects them as well, and can handle in the open court after, she also does that after rebounding. Her court vision is solid, she also can drop the mid to long-range jumper as well as score off the dribble
Nmesoma Okola Nmesoma Okola 6'1" | C Glenn | 2025 State TX – 6’1 C (Glenn)
#3 Okola falls into “there aren’t a lot of me” walking around which is in direct response to some idiot trying to do comparisons. Not only is she “long and athletic” she is ULTRA athletic and watching her on the receiving end of alley-oops make me wish I saw quicker with my camera but she is dropping the midrange consistently and scoring around the basket with ease, after contact
Leonna Sneed Leonna Sneed 5'6" | PG SA Wagner | 2025 State TX -5’6 PG (Wagner)
#4 Sneed was another pre-middle school baller I dropped the #D1Lock on I guess 4th or 5th grade and all I can say is correct when I’m wrong because I haven’t been yet. Her poise under pressure, even then stood out, and now she just makes those around her better, which elevates your status from good to great. Off the dribble, mid to long-range, seeing the floor, and bringing heat defensively is a quick SIMMARY
Taylor Barnes Taylor Barnes 6'1" | SF South Grand Prairie | 2025 State TX -5’10 SF (South Grand Prairie)
#5 Barnes has me SMH at the TABC Girls Basketball Showcase a few weeks ago and watching her on the court progression over the years has been a pleasure. She scores around the basket, rebounds on both ends and can go coast to coast to finish after rebounding or just drop the jumper yet her playing the passing lane and on the ball, defense needs to be mentioned
Nataliyah Gray Nataliyah Gray 6'3" | PF Alief Taylor | 2025 State TX -6’3 PF (Alief Taylor)
#7 Gray leaves no GREY area untouched and although I missed her at the TABC Girls Basketball Showcase, I’m still having flashbacks of seeing her in a high school game as she was scoring with either hand around the basket with players literally hanging on her. The scary thing is that I believe she will be an even better college player, nice upside
Hillary Dawson Hillary Dawson 6'3" | PF Malakoff | 2025 State TX -6’3 PF (Malakoff)
#9 Dawson is another player that didn’t move in spite of my not seeing her lately because I SAW ENOUGH and with her strength and power alone, she is going to be hard to move, no pun intended. Her being physical on both ends around the basket is college ready yet her roof has no ceiling as she continues to add more each time I catch her, can’t wait until the next time
Camille Willaims Camille Willaims 5'11" | SG Boswell | 2025 State TX -5’11 SG (Saginaw)
#10 Willaims did a good job, at least in my eyes, at the Sandra Meadows Classic, and one more time, that’s all that matters to ME. She creates her shot under pressure and elevates to drop it over defenders. That same elevation works around the basket yet she battled for rebounds and handled the ball in transition, saw the court also, and hit teammates on the money
