[player_tooltip player_id='613290' first='McKinley' last='Kruger'], 5'6", Silver Lake, Southwest Elite - Kruger leads the crop of debuting shooting guards just a sliver ahead of her sister. A strong perimeter shooter who also runs the point from time to time, she buried four threes in the team's 2023 3A state tournament quarterfinal win. Fast, quick with the ball, and a solid perimeter defender Kruger is a two-time Mid-East League first team and Varsity Kansas Honorable Mention selection. She also received KBCA 3A Honorable Mention honors.

[player_tooltip player_id='669072' first='Sydney' last='Schibi'], Parsons - Besides roaming the perimeter Schibi can also be found working the power forward role. 2023 SEK first team, 2022 second team. Set school record for made 3s in a game with 11 in 2022. 38 pts that night. Varsity Kansas 4A honorable mention.

[player_tooltip player_id='649343' first='Kaibryn' last='Kruger'], 5'6", Silver Lake - Kruger joins the 2024 rankings just a couple spots behind her sister. In the team's 2023 3A semi-final state tournament game she lit up from the perimeter, showing just accurate and consistent she can be beyond the arc. She is much more than a shooter. She defends solidly and goes end-to-end with speed. A 2023 Mid-East League honorable mention selection, she also was tabbed for the same honors by Varsity Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='669096' first='Lexsey' last='DeWitt'], Emporia - Discovering video of DeWitt hitting a game winning layup in January against Wichita Heights. I had a chance to wee the Varsity Kansas 5A Honorable Mention selection at the MAYB Summer Kickoff this past weekend. She showed quickness and physicality on both ends of the floor, speed with the ball in transition, and an ability to hit the three ball with range.

[player_tooltip player_id='667175' first='Bri' last='Hochstetler'], 5'8", Remington, [program_tooltip program_id='713034' first='Wheat' last='State Elite'] - 6.2.23 MAYB 1A/2A - Hochstetler showed some diversified, mature abilities. As a ball handler she did a good job of controlling the ball to set the team up in the half court. As a shooter not only was she able to can three balls Hochstetler also showed jump shooting ability. Off screen and roll plays her ability to make catchable passes was consistently good. Three-time Heart of America League honorable mention.

[player_tooltip player_id='649340' first='Cinae' last='Hadley'], 5'6", Wichita East, [program_tooltip program_id='715643' first='Kansas' last='Elite'] Heat - I mentioned in April that Hadley was a lock to appear in the next class rankings update. And here the Greater Wichita Area League Honorable Mention selection is. There is a lot to like about what she brings to the table. Quick feet is at the top of my list of talents players have and she uses her to get a strong first step on defenders and to defend guards trying to get into the lane. She has surprising explosiveness with good timing to catch offensive boards to get a put-back before coming back down. A member of a deep and talented Wichita East back court to watch this upcoming high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='649348' first='Peyton' last='Remus'], 5'5", Beloit, Thunderbolts - A three year starter for the Trojans Remus is be returning for her senior year as a two-time North Central Activities Association first team and two-time Varsity Kansas 3A Honorable Mention selection. My most recent viewing of her play was at the April first and second MAYB Hall of Fame Showcase event. She showed speed, hustle, competitiveness, and consistency as a scoring threat.
