[player_tooltip player_id='667175' first='Bri' last='Hochstetler'], 5'8", SG/PG, Remington, 2024 - Hochstetler showed some diversified, mature abilities. As a ball handler she did a good job of controlling the ball to set the team up in the half court. As a shooter not only was she able to can three balls Hochstetler also showed jump shooting ability. Off screen and roll plays her ability to make catchable passes was consistently good.

[player_tooltip player_id='743340' first='Lena' last='Leatherman'], SG, Doniphan West, 2024 - Leatherman showed that she will be a solid perimeter shooting threat in 2024, especially when she gets opportunities in flow off the catch or off a dribble. I like her solid speed and overall maturity on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='743332' first='Taryn' last='Maike'], 5'0", PG, Wabaunsee, 2024 - Maike showed herself to be an important player to have on the floor for the Chargers. She showed some quicks and speed with the ball. Maike finished at speed in trantion and is a good free throw shooter. What I liked most was Maike's ability to work in space looking for opportunities out of the offense. She provides stability in the half court.

[player_tooltip player_id='302144' first='Audrey' last='Peek'], 5'6", SG, Lebo, 2024 - Peek has long been one of the top 1A players in the state and I enjoyed a glimpse as to why. Not just a very good shooter, she is well rounded offensively. Defenses also happen to lose track of her. Peek is not a flashy player but she is consistent and moves well without the ball. And being who she is enables her to slip through defenses unnoticed at times until it is too late. Defensively, she showed good footwork and balance sliding well with ball handlers attacking on the wing.

2025

[player_tooltip player_id='766643' first='Jaelyn' last='Daily'], 5'9", PG/SF, Wallace County, 2025 - The game I caught showed Daily to be the best player on the floor. While she can get out of control with it, Daily has really good speed with the ball in transition. I liked her athleticism and activeness on both ends of the floor. Daily jumps well to the ball rebounding.

[player_tooltip player_id='822716' first='Keilee' last='Finnerty'], 5'10", SF, Hartford, 2025 - While her fluidness is not quite there yet Finnerty showed flashes of ability in flow. One play I really liked was a drive down the lane, over the rim, take to finish with extension over defenders. I really, really wanted to see a George Gervin style finger roll. Not a player to foul, she is a very solid free throw shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='675829' first='Saige' last='Hadley'], 5'9", SF, Lebo, 2025 - Hadley is a solid scorer around the hoop off the catch or as a result of putting a couple post moves together. She does a very good job of using her hands to call for the ball where she wants to catch it. She also will unleash a high arching, corner bomb from time to time. Hadley is a lot for defenders to handle now because of how hard she works inside. As she gets stronger, with her smarts and long arms, she will be more than just a handful.

[player_tooltip player_id='675833' first='Katie' last='Johnson'], PF, 5'11", Doniphan West, 2025 - Johnson is a very active post player who gets a ton of touches. And while she works to set herself up to score, Johnson showed she was not a black hole. Post catch pass, flash catch pass, and on. While slender, she has nice length and athleticism to get solid shots off from her work. And as she improves her strength and footwork she is only going to make the rest of the team better. A developing talent who is only going to get better.

2026

[player_tooltip player_id='621260' first='Evie' last='Look'], 5'6", CG, Little River, 2026 - While I did not get to see a bunch of her game what I did see confirmed what I noticed about her last season. On a deep team her minutes were hard to come by. But what she did show, I noticed. This day I liked a little baseline drive from the short corner extended a bit. She quickly stepped by a defender and hit a quick jumper.

Ella Oehmke, 5'8", SG/SF, Linn, 2026 - While still developing fluid athleticism, Oehmke was quite active on both ends of the floor. She has long arms and she uses those to disrupt passing lanes and finish a challenged shot with extension. While still developing as a shooter Oehmke can really sell a perimeter shot with a gaze at the rim. She will take the shot if not challenged and that threat enables her to draw the defender a step...just enough for her blow by for a short, lane jumper. Good potential overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='719104' first='Addysen' last='Patrick'], 5'5", SG, Moundridge, 2026 - Patrick was a consistent perimeter threat who handled the ball well. I really liked her bounce on her jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='719106' first='Cammi' last='Unruh'], 5'5", CG, Moundridge, 2026 - One of the team's best athletes, Unruh showed good handles; a good first step; and consistent finishing ability.
