One of those finishing events is the Triumph Region Finals. In similar fashion to last year’s Triumph Region Finals (as well as the Triumph Region Kickoff), it will emanate from the Upward Star Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Among the divisions that will be taking to one of four courts this weekend will be among the 15U class – which will also include a few 2027 teams. Here is part one of names to be on the lookout in case one plans to attend in person or watch on Baller TV.
Braddick will be going into the Triumph Region Finals with a home court advantage given she is a standout from the Palmetto State itself. There is one aspect among many others that stands out that particularly makes her a tough out for many opponents – the 6-foot-4 stature she brings to the court. That makes it extremely difficult to score on her and makes her a consistent threat to reject shots as a defender. Braddick will be taking to the court for Charleston Raptors 2026 – a team that had a rough go of things at the Triumph Region Kickoff. The team went 1-3 back in April.
This is a standout who we vividly remember from last season’s Triumph Region Finals. Richmond Heat’s teams collectively had impressive showings last year in Spartanburg and they are hoping to duplicate that this time. This was the same Macy Spivey that last year scored 20 of the team’s 22 points in a Richmond Heat 2026 win over Lady Empact 2026. The margin of victory was 22-21 and it set her AAU team up for a berth in the 14U finals against eventual champion Greenwood Storm 2026. When basketball is not her primary focus, one can catch Spivey on the softball diamond.
The name Kiah Simpson rings a bell from when Prep Girls Hoops had a chance to get a glimpse of her Louisiana-based My Sister’s Keeper 2026 team from both the Midwest Extravaganza in Chicago and at Peach Games in Atlanta. Simpson was a 15U First Team honoree from Peach Games where My Sister’s Keeper 2026 finished with a 4-0 record. One of the games that stuck out from Peach Games was when her team matched up against Tempo Sports Academy 2026 out of South Carolina. It was her team’s final matchup of the event and her 21-point performance led My Sister’s Keeper 2026 to a 51-49 victory.

Carolina All-Stars has typically fielded some of the more stacked travel squads in the region. Its 2027 team finished with a 3-1 record back in early April at the Triumph Region Kickoff and a big reason for that was the play of its rising freshman standout that previously played at Lakewood Middle School. Yancey was one of two primary players that made Carolina All-Stars a tough out for opponents and one reason for that was because of how her superb ball handling skills threw opposing defenses for loop after loop after loop. Yancey is listed at 5-foot-8 on the Carolina All-Stars 2027 roster.
Here is another that we got an introduction to via Peach Games in early May. Carey has played at R.C. Edwards MS which is a feeder school for 3A Daniel (where she will play her high school ball). In addition to what she has done on the travel circuit for Upstate Rebels 2026, she has also spent time running with Carolina Clutch 2027. Carey was one of the top performers from Peach Games and her ability to finish strong at the rim was a reason for that. She also proved how valuable she can be as a defender with her ability to block shots.
