Harper Vaughn Harper Vaughn 5'7" | PG Colby | 2027 KS -5’2 G (Colby MS) Magic Basketball Vaugh [2027] Kansas
Vaughn showed she could not only shoot but could knock down the big shot and her back to back 3 pointers down the stretch kept her squad within striking distance of one of the toughest teams in the event. She understands how to create her shot under pressure and she also did a good job of playing within herself
Mia Jackson-5’8 SF (Waverly) VRLY Storm 2027 [2027] Nebraska
Jackson showed good timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots yet when you factor in her size, that’s pretty impressive yet even more impressive to me was watching her go after the ball off the rim. She can not only get positioning to outrebound taller players, she elevates. Watching her come from out of nowhere and grabbing the ball was nice
Whitlee Keith Whitlee Keith 5'7" | SG Webb City | 2027 MO -5’6 G (Webb City Junior) MO Legacy 2027 [2027] Missouri
Keith also did a good job of creating her shot under pressure and watching her set the defender up to attack the basket using a deceptive first step was solid, so was her finishing strongly after contact. She has good body control and saw the floor, in the set ar when attacking but she also could drop the mid to long-range jumper. Her being able to “catch and shot ” needs to be mentioned, so does her upside
Alayzia McNack-5’2 G (Wagoner MS) EYG 2028 [2028] Oklahoma
McKnack was steady on both days as I caught her squad multiple games. I love consistency and watching her play the passing lane over and over was very nice but she also handled the ball after the steal and her court vision in the open court speaks volumes about what’s coming. She also saw the floor in the half-court, scored off the dribble and dropped the jumper
Hadleigh Grubb-5’6 G (Benton) Southside Elite 2027 [2027] Missouri
Grubb gets the #THROWBACK for doing some of the things she did in the paint like scoring over taller players after rebounding but also just her DESIRE going after loose balls and I love seeing things you can’t teach. She scored off the dribble, first step was nice but she also saw thefloor both in the set and in transition. She also did a good job defending in the set as well as baseline to baseline
Karissa Patterson-5’8 G (Wilbur) B2B Elite B2B Kansas Bluejays 2027 Miller [2027] Kansas
Patterson does a good job of mixing it up offensively and using the slight HEZ to get by the defender to score was nice yet it also created spacing for her to get her shot off from outside, which she knocked down while being defended. She also showed the jumper in transition and her “stop and pop” will only get better, so will her FLOATA which she releases at theright time. Before I forget, she plays the passing lane !
Brooke Norton-5’4 G (Norwood) Identity Elite 2027 [2027]
Norton already understands something small that the novice may miss yet it will be big as her game on the court progresses and that’s how to create contact. She does it instinctively, another plus and watching her finish strongly after the lick will make her an “and one” waiting to happen”. She midrange in the set was solid, so was her pull-up jumper in transition
