Stats: 18.0 Points Per Game

Lester was effective from everywhere on the court in Virginia using her elite athleticism, explosive first step and long wingspan to consistently put the ball in the basket finishing 3rd overall in points at 18.0 points per game. She had double digit shots in all five games, shooting 41% from the field and 36% from 3, consistently putting the pressure on the opposing teams defense to not allow her into the paint. On Saturday, Lester scored a game high 25-point vs the Fairfax Stars on an impressive 7/15 from the field, 2/3 from 3, 9/11 from the free throw line while also grabbing 4 rebounds per game.
BLOCKS PER GAME
Tayla Thomas Tayla Thomas 6'4" | SF IMG Academy | 2024 State FL (Essence TipHayes Purple 17U EYBL) 6’1 Forward – Class of 2024
Stats: 8.6 Rebounds Per Game
Rank: # 4
Thomas was all over the glass in Virginia grabbing double digit rebounds in 2 of Essence 5 games while also hitting the double-digit mark on points twice including an impressive 18-point, 11 rebound double double on 7/7 from the field. Thomas plays tough and physical in the paint. She is persistent on the boards. And she uses her strong lower base and broad shoulders to move smaller players around and hold her low post position both on the glass and when finishing.
ASSISTS PER GAME
Olivia Schmitt ( Miami Suns Team Fowles 17U EYBL) 5’5 Guard – Class of 2024
Stats: 6.2 Assists Per Game
Rank: # 1
Schmitt struggled from the field on the offensive end shooting just 27% from the field but playing heavy minutes she continued to push the tempo, play downhill, and consistently penetrate into the paint. She had double digit assists in 2 of the 5 games the Miami Suns played in the event, dropping 10 dimes both vs Indy Gym Rats on Friday and then again another 10 on Saturday vs Sports Academy Swish.
Trinity Turner Trinity Turner 5'7" | CG Dr. Phillips | 2024 State FL (Essence TipHayes Purple 17U EYBL) 5’8 Guard – Class of 2024
Stats: 2.6 Assists Per Game
Rank: # 18 (Tied)
Turner is as well rounded of a player in the EYBL as their is. She gets it done on both offense and defense and in a variety of ways. She finished in the top 20 in assists per game dropping 2.6 dimes per game across 5 games with a game high 4 assists vs Michigan Crossover to open the event. Turner uses her handle and athleticism to attack off the bounce and create easy shots for her teammates consistently. She has the ability to get by her defender with ease often and unselfishly gives the ball up to open players for easy perimeter shots as well at layups at the rim.
STEALS PER GAME
Olivia Schmitt ( Miami Suns Team Fowles 17U EYBL) 5’5 Guard – Class of 2024
Stats: 2.0 Steals Per Game
Rank: # 7 (Tied)
Schmitt is a consistent defender, often drawing a match up against the opposing teams point guards. She uses her high IQ, and deceptive athleticism to step bait opposing teams into lazy passes and step through passing lanes, turning turnovers into fast breaks and easy points on the other end.
Trinity Turner Trinity Turner 5'7" | CG Dr. Phillips | 2024 State FL (Essence TipHayes Purple 17U EYBL) 5’8 Guard – Class of 2024
Stats: 1.8 Steals Per Game
Rank: # 10 (Tied)
Turner has the ability to be a top defender anytime she wants to. When motivated and playing aggressive and active on the defensive end, Turner can lock up anyone on the court and can create havoc. She picks and chooses her spots when to be aggressive and averaged just under 2 steals a game with a game high 4 steals vs Drive nation on her way to a 10 point, 7 rebound, 4 steal, and 2 assist game. While she struggled from the field, she did a good job finding ways to put points on the board by getting to the free throw line knocking down 8/10 from the line.
