She kept her feet under her on defense, and found her footing offensively with several smart shots and athletic finishes. At times, she seemed to be working ahead of her opponents on the defensive end, she cut off her opponents before they even made their move to the basket. On the other end, there wasn’t a specific shot that stood out to me, it was more the fact that she always affected the game when she wished. (Michigan)
Jillian Jekot, 2024 Comets (Philadelphia) Gelone GUAA, PG, 6-0, Sr. – She showed a flare for the dramatic late in the game I watched. Even though AAU games aren’t about scores, she smoothly rose up ad hit a tough shot with under a minute left to knot the game at 56 all. This kid makes things happen on the court. She’s a strong player with a quick first step and aims to get her team the best shot possible, whether it is her shot or one for her teammates.
Dee Alexander, 2024 West Virginia Thunder Johnson GUAA, W, 6-1, Jr. – Dee owns great court awareness and a tremendous basketball IQ. If you want someone who can take over a game and make it look easy, then you should look at Dee. Just call her an executor. She isn’t exactly a slasher, she’s more of a pick-her-moment kind of player and then the other team has very few options left to stop her. I watched her take over on two separate occasions as the Thunder trailed late. In one game, she took over by scoring on some tough floaters and getting physical around the hoop. In the other game, she got her teammates involved with great passes and more of those spectacular shots. This kid should be on every team’s radar, though, there’s a strong possibility she will end up at an elite NCAA Division I program.
Holland Harris, 2024 FGB GUAA, 6-1, SG, Sr. – Harris has sweet moves and a sweet shot. Not necessarily in that order. When she’s faced with a certain opponent, she can tailor her game to whatever her team needs. I watched her twice, while in Louisville. Against one group, she went on the attack with slick moves toward the basket. Her Eurostep was one-hundred percent on point every time, and she always generated points. Against the W.Va. Thunder, she used her outside shot and an array of post moves to generate offense for her and her teammates. I left the weekend feeling there weren’t really any big holes in her game. She’s going to be a great pickup for anyone at the high D-I level.
Sheridan Beal Sheridan Beal 5'9" | SG West Bloomfield | 2026 State MI , 2026 Michigan Storm GUAA, 5-9, W, So. – Beal patiently attacked the basketball over three days inside the Kentucky Expo Center. Not only did she use her basketball intelligence, but she also used her length to her advantage. When I watched her, it is clear she understood how her length can cause mismatches, she was always shooting for foul shots even if the shot wasn’t a perfect attempt. More times than not, she was rewarded with a trip to the free throw line. There aren’t a lot of sophomores out there who understand how to utilize their length to the best of their advantage, but Beal is definitely one of them.
