Two more Circuit events are on tap for mid-July in Kansas and the 2K23 live period event in Chicago from July 22-23. The Upward Star Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina is where all of the action emanated from as several of the region’s 15U, 16U and 17U travel teams converged on the Palmetto State’s Upstate.
Phoenix Carter 2027 out of North Carolina won this year’s 15U championship, but there was talent across the board among the 15U pool. Without further adieu, here is a look at our 15U First Team.
Brooke Parker

Big time players show up in big time games. In the 15U semifinals, the star rising freshman certainly showed up against a Louisiana-based My Sister’s Keeper 2026 assembling that appeared to be in cruise control for much of the weekend. My Sister’s Keeper 2026 ran into Parker and the rest of that stifling Phoenix Carter 2027 defense and Parker ensured they met their match. She led the team in scoring with 11 points in the semifinals. With the score tied at 36, Parker was fouled and she made a pair of go-ahead free throws to put her team ahead by two. Phoenix Carter went on to defeat Charleston Raptors 2026 in the finals.

Wesleyan Christian Academy was well-represented on this year’s Phoenix Carter 2027 team. The Trojans, who finished 23-10 in 2022-23, had three representatives on the team – including Cunningham who played her first season with the varsity Trojans as an eighth grader. Cunningham wasted no time making an impact at the Triumph Region Finals. She scored 19 points in a thrilling overtime contest against Charleston Raptors 2026 then scored 12 points to help her team claim the 15U crown. Ironically, it was against the same Charleston Raptors 2026 team that Phoenix Carter 2027 triumphed against to triumph in the Triumph Region’s 15U division.
Hanks was a key cog in the run that Charleston Raptors 2026 had throughout a tournament that was held in its home state. She began the tournament with an 11-point performance in an overtime victory against a Phoenix Carter 2027 that eventually won the 15U crown. She was a bright spot in that championship game as she placed eight points on the board while the team struggled as a whole. Hanks is a two-sport athlete as she also participates on the varsity soccer team at 2A Oceanside Collegiate. Hanks’ leadership skills, ball handling capabilities, willingness to attack the rim and 3-point shooting will only have her rising up South Carolina’s 2026 ranks.

Smith was arguably the most consistent scorer on a My Sister’s Keeper 2026 team that has a roster full of noteworthy players. She led her team to a 4-0 record to begin the tournament (including a tough win vs. Carolina All-Stars 2027) before running into Phoenix Carter 2027 in the 15U semifinals. Smith understands how to put points on the board from virtually anywhere on the floor and she also understands how to get into position to bring down rebounds. She also displays how effective she is on defense by rushing out to the perimeter to affect the trajectory of an opponent’s attempt.

Turner represents a team in Upstate Rebels 2026 whose home base is not that far away from where the Upward Star Center is located. She proved exactly why she is rising up the ranks at 5A Byrnes. Turner was a major reason why her team finished with a 4-2 record this past weekend at the Triumph Region Finals. She was one of the centerpieces of what Upstate Rebels 2026 was getting accomplished in the frontcourt. Among that is her ability to corral offensive rebounds. Opposing bigs have a tall task on their hands guarding her given how she fuses together talent with the presence she presents in the paint.
