Well, once that was accomplished and I realized that I was going to be coming back to PGH, I put a call out on Twitter. I realized that a year away means I missed a lot of players who either made their debut in high school last season or are about to. If not that, maybe they’re a player who just moved to the state.
Whatever the reason, I needed to catch up and the players obliged. I now have a list of close to 100 names of players that I, 1.) can’t wait to see in person when this high school season tips off and 2.) have to get to know through video for the time being. As I do that, here comes a series I’m calling Twitter Evaluations where I will tell you about each new player that I am getting to know. Hopefully, it can help you coaches find some great prospects as well!
Carrie was one of the first players to reach out and I am very glad that she did. I can’t wait to catch an East Central game this season and get a look at that shooting stroke in person. Watching her video on Hudl, you can see that she has a very quick shot with a nice high release and she is gonna hold that hand up there, for sure. She’s a shooter. That’s what we… I mean, they… I mean, shooters do. Carrie can also drive to the basket with pretty good handles and is a very strong finisher. I’d like to see more defense in her video packages, but it looks like she uses her 5’9″ frame very well and is pretty strong. She’s a 2024, so coaches, make sure you get out there and see her, too!

As someone who is a HUGE fan of both baseball and softball, I’ve got to admit I spent a little too much time watching videos of Keirstin playing softball. In case you’re curious, she has a very fluid swing and shows a tremendous ability to hit the ball where it is pitched… but, I digress. When Keirstin plays the “right” sport, she is exactly what you like to see from a multi-sport athlete. She is someone who brings her softball mentality to the hardwood. She is tough, strong, fiery, and her left-handed shot gives defenders fits. Briggs has great size, is incredibly strong and fast, and is a nightmare defensively against almost any position. I definitely can’t wait to see Seiling play this season!
Speaking of players that are fun to watch, I could’ve watched Sadie Epps Sadie Epps 5’2″ | PG Ada | 2026 State OK video all day. She is never going to be the biggest player on the court, but she may show the most heart and hustle in any game that you watch her in. Epps is one of the few players from my “Twitter list” that I’ve seen in person (and still have notes on), so this evaluation isn’t entirely Twitter or Hudl based. I’ve seen her play some absolutely lockdown defense at the point with really quick feet and quick hands to occasionally grab a steal for her squad. Sadie is the kind of “Three-and-D, Heart-and-Hustle” player that any college team would absolutely love to have.
Highlights
Kealey Sanders
Kealey Sanders
Kealey is another player who is undersized and does not that let it stop her in anyway. Plus, I should add, I feel like as a 2027, that Kealey will grow a little more and already has plenty of strength. She could be one of those players who “comes out of nowhere” by her senior year to surprise everyone. I definitely need to get a look at her in person. Sanders is an incredibly athletic player who can shoot the lights out. Scroll a little farther down her timeline and you’ll find some videos of tremendous defense that leads to fast breaks where Kealey shows a good euro-step and the ability to finish while being fouled. It would appear, just from video, that Kealey is a gym rat… in the best possible way. Yet another player that is going to be really fun to see in person!

I’m going to write another piece right after this about what should be in your Twitter profile if you’re a prospect. That being said, I had to guess on Sadie’s height. I estimated it based on the players around her that I knew. Regardless, Sadie’s videos are fun to watch and she is most definitely a tall and long player who is going to be one heck of a prospect. She can shoot it, but more than that, she is a big who shows an outstanding ability to pick and roll. She does a good job of finding the weakness on the roll and demanding the ball. She knows how to use her length and with time, she will learn how to use her strength. When that happens, this kid is going to be a dangerous inside/outside threat.
