The Class of 2026 was a ton of fun to watch this summer, and not just among the best teams competing at the 15U level. Many of the top prospects played up a year or two, proving that they could run with the best regardless of age. One athlete who has done that for years is [player_tooltip player_id='205310' first='Tori' last='Oehrlein'], the long-time floor general for [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns'] 2024 S40. She led her team to a runner-up finish in the 17U state championship and had a ton of success on the national stage. She scored, distributed and defended as well as anyone in 2023, and we're pleased to recognize Tori as our Prep Girls Hoops 2026 Most Valuable Player.

The 5'11 guard from Crosby-Ironton is unflappable. Through double- and triple-teams, regardless of the opponent, no matter if she's banged up, mentally fatigued or physically exhausted, Oehrlein always seems to deliver. Regardless of the situation, no matter the opponent, Tori is a constant threat. She is an elite playmaker – as good as anyone in Minnesota – with tremendous feel for the game and court vision that is on another level. She can score the basketball every which way you'd like. She gets downhill and slips past defenders even if they have more size or quickness. She knocks down shots from anywhere and everywhere. She makes big plays in big moments and always seems to deliver when she is needed the most. And she is tough as nails.

It's easy to get enamored by Tori's offensive abilities. I mean, she can do everything. But what doesn't gets discussed often enough is what Oehrlein does defensively. She knows how to use her size, length, athleticism and understanding of the game just as well as any player in the state to stop other players from scoring. Tori can flat out shut you down. I'm pretty sure she led the Minnesota State High School League in rebounding last winter. This summer Tori proved once again that she could go up against elite talent across the country – players, like her, who are drawing the highest-level offers imaginable – and have outstanding success on the boards.

Bottom line: Tori might be the most complete player in the state. She's also a prospect with tremendous intangibles, including good old-fashioned loyalty and small-town values. Tori is a multi-sport athlete who has ton of outside interests that extend well beyond basketball. From the beginning she has stuck with Dre Jefferson's Suns' squad, taking a long-term approach to development that is really paying off. That's rare in this day and age and so is she. Congrats Tori. You earned this.

PLEASE NOTE

One important point to note about our AAU All-Star selections: Prep Girls Hoops picks players based on their graduation year, not the level they competed at in 2023. In the case of the 2026 All Stars that means athletes who played up this year are included here – [player_tooltip player_id='205310' first='Tori' last='Oehrlein'], [player_tooltip player_id='252381' first='Maddyn' last='Greenway'] and [player_tooltip player_id='252383' first='Lanelle' last='Wright'], for example – but younger kids who played on 2026 teams such as 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='377583' first='Mya' last='Wilson'] are not. In addition, our selections include only Minnesota players. That's why you won't find standout Lee Lee Bell from Minnesota Stars 2026 3SSB on the list, an incredible talent from North Dakota who would have definitely been in the running for MVP. Out-of-state players competing on behalf of Minnesota AAU teams will be recognized at a later date.
