Five years ago, when I first started with Prep Girls Hoops, I introduced different areas of the state and their top prospects. I wanted to again work through that this Fall and offer you a much more detailed look at the Hoosiers State's different regions and the prospects who should shine this Winter throughout those regions. This article will focus on the ladies just West and Northwest of Indianapolis, specifically from Boone County and Hendricks County. There are 11 total schools spread throughout those three counties, but they are predominantly bigger schools, with four being from class 4A, five being from Class 3A, and two being from Class A.

Team success has found those two counties, with Brownsburg being the 2021 Class 4A state runner-up, Zionsville being the 2018 Class 4A state runner-up, as well as Tri-West (2021), Danville (2017 & 2018), and Lebanon (2016) all making it to the Class 3A Semi-State four of the last eight years. Additionally, the combination of those 11 schools have provided a great deal of talent throughout the years, with a number of girls moving on to college basketball of all levels. Recently, players like Kenna Kirby (Tri-West 2022), Ellie Wilkerson (Plainfield 2022), Ally Becki (Brownsburg 2021), Alex Richard (Avon 2021), Allison Bosse (Brownsburg 2020), Ella Collier (Danville 2020), Maddi Fulks (Bethesda Christian 2020), Madison Jones (Western Boone 2019), and Maddie Nolan (Zionsville 2019) have represented their areas well, with all of them continuing their basketball careers beyond high school. Becki, Bosse, Collier, and Nolan also represented their schools as Indiana All-Stars in their respective classes.

Still, though, there are a number of girls who go underrecruited throughout their careers, and this is an area where small colleges can find some real gems, plus there are typically multiple Division-I prospects in each graduating class from these two counties. With that said, I wanted to take the time to highlight a handful of girls who may not often grab the spotlight, but who deserve their share of recognition for their basketball abilities. All of these girls are strictly from Boone County or Hendricks County.

[player_tooltip player_id='177315' first='Creedance' last='Chittenden'], 2024, 5-8 SG/SF, Cascade H.S.
- Creedance is a highly versatile, hard-working, and competitive wing prospect who can contribute in many different ways. She is a wing, she can handle it in transition, attack from the perimeter, and she has some touch outside. At the same time, she is strong enough and plays with some physicality, so she will go inside to rebound or score it at the rim. Defensively, she can take on bigger guards, wings, and even some undersized '4s'. She is also a talented soccer player, so that could be a college option as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='177338' first='Faith' last='Leedy'], 2024, 5-4 PG, Zionsville Community H.S.
- Faith is a physical, tough-nosed, gritty lead guard who flat out competes. She is always on the floor, she'll go inside to rebound, plus she is a physical defender who refuses to be beaten off the bounce, even if that means issuing some contact. She is a capable perimeter shooter, an experienced ball-handler, and she has started for the Lady Eagles at the point. She will be as important as anyone this season, because without graduated Miss Basketball Laila Hull, this team becomes very perimeter centric.

[player_tooltip player_id='626931' first='Addison' last='Davis'], 2025, 5-9 CF, Danville Community H.S.
- Addison is an extremely strong, physical, and tough-nosed do-everything style of forward. She will get inside, score, rebound, and defend the interior willingly, and she plays much taller than she is. At the same time, she has really nice touch in the mid-post, and she is comfortable around the perimeter as well. She has played a little grassroots basketball in the past, but she is also a talented softball prospect, so a lot of her time is spent on the diamond. She could be a double-double kid this Winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='366801' first='Aniah' last='Smith'], 2025, 5-3 PG, Avon H.S.
- Aniah isn't very big, but she is a ballplayer. She is extremely quick, fast, and all-around athletic. She has a great feel for the position, she has a nice handle, and she can oftentimes create something out of nothing. She is a more-than-willing passer, and she finds teammates through the smallest of holes. I also like her feistiness defensively and her ability to frustrate opposing guards. She understands her size limitations and doesn't attempt much outside of her capabilities; she's very efficient.

[player_tooltip player_id='486496' first='Berkeley' last='Williams'], 2026, 5-6 CG, Plainfield H.S.
- Berkeley is one of my favorite players to watch in the state, because she always plays with so much energy. She has a strong, physical game for a perimeter player, so she doesn't mind mixing it up, diving for loose balls, or rebounding. I also like how she uses her physicality defensively to get underneath a ball-handler. Offensively, she is a very good perimeter shooter, but she's also a nice North/South driver who absorbs contact well. She has really worked on her point guard skillset over the last year.
