The event took place from Aug. 26-Aug. 27 and featured some of the top players in the state and from other states as well. I was able to attend the event on Sunday Aug. 27 and I focused on the CA talent. Here’s a look at some of the top standouts I saw from Day 2.
1. Tatianna Griffith – 2028
Griffith was one of the top bucket getters at the event and one of the youngest. She’s a strong guard/wing with a good combination of strength, athleticism and skill. She uses her strength to finish strong through contact at the basket. She draws contact consistently at the rim. She can be the primary ball-handler and she likes to shoot the face-up jumper in the midrange.
2.

Dignadice was a crafty ball-handler and one of the best shooters at the event. Defenders respect her shot and she uses shot fakes well to get the defense in the air and hit the little pull-up. She’s crafty with the ball in her hands, able to create her own shot consistently hitting defenders with hesitation moves. Likes to shoot the step-back in the halfcourt too.
3.
Kylee Yeh

Yeh was one of the better point guards I saw. She was steady and consistent. A fundamental player. She sees the floor well especially in transition. She did a good job firing outlet passes to sprinting teammates. Also can slow the tempo down and play in the halfcourt. Good ball-handler who consistently got to the basket.
4.
Rosie Oladokun

Oladokun is a player who has a lot of upside. Also one of the younger players at the event but one of the most poised and skilled. She’s long and lanky but in the mold of a ball-handling wing. She was often the primary ball-handler for her team. She keeps her head and dribble up and sees the floor. Can shoot off the dribble consistently with range out to the three-point line.
5.
Emaleena Elson

Elson was one of the better interior players at the event especially on the glass. She used her size well to get position and box out properly. She doesn’t hold on to the ball long off boards, shoots the quick pass to her guards to start the break. She has a nice touch around the rim and she can space the floor with three-point shooting as well.
6.
Andrea Alamo

Alamo was one of the better ball-handlers of the event. She’s a tall wing who can be a primary ball-handler. She does a good job pushing the pace in transition. She’s very unselfish. She looks for her teammates over her own shot. She keeps the offense running. I didn’t see her score much in the game I saw but she made an impact simply by moving the ball.
7.
Andrea Martin

Martin was one of the best defensive players at the event, that was what really stood out to me. She has good length and really gets after it on the defensive end. Good on-ball defender who can make things difficult for the ball-handler. She won the camp Defensive MVP Award. She also showed an ability to finish at the basket.
