Emerson Nilsson #105 (5’4″ Lincoln Way East) was a hustler. She could handle the ball in traffic and was able to cause disruption in the lane. There was no problem for her defending even the tallest girl on the court.
Toniya Brady #110 (5’6″ Homewood) used patience in the best way on Saturday. She took her time to choose the right shot and was smooth to the basket when she drove. Was a scoring threat with her nice long range 3 and mid-range shots.
Kailey Young #127 (5’9″ Paris) has a great frame and used every bit of her height in her games. She has the right amount of aggressiveness to make her a defensive and scoring threat. Great communicator on the court.
Claire Williams #134 (5’6″ Cary-grove) would battle for the ball. Active player in the game. Fought multiple times on the floor for loose balls in a fight for possession.
Carolyn Binz #159 (5’9″ Boylan Catholic) is a scrappy player who did whatever needed to get the job done. Impressed me most with her consistent drives to the basket. She also had a nice catch & shoot.
Annabelle Kritzer #169 (6’1″ Naperville Central) has a good blend of size, length, and motor. She was always moving and can surprisingly handle the ball well for a big. She was pulling down rebounds on offense and defense and put the ball right back up for second chance points. Solid player with high ceiling.
Kara Giordano #185 (5’3″ Huntley) used her motor every time she stepped on the court. She could dribble through traffic, wear down her defenders and followed her shot. All these things combined showed her value on the team.
