<p>Another member of the upcoming senior class is off the board as far as college commitments. The latest commit has decided to remain in-state playing in the A-SUN Conference.</p>

<p>The latest commit comes from the Tampa Bay area, as Seffner Christian 5-11 rising senior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='223784' first='Nicole' last='Carreno'] has committed to the University of North Florida.</p>

<p>Carreno held offers from North Florida, Western Carolina and several others before deciding to stay in-state to play for the Ospreys. </p>

<p>Carreno is a multi-versatile player who can score from inside the post, as well as on the perimeter where she shot 33 percent from beyond the arc last season. Carreno averaged 12.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game for Seffner Christian as a junior last season.</p>

<p>On the defensive end, Carreno uses her frame and length at a high level where she can block shots, rebound well and defend the perimeter. On the offensive end, Carreno has the handles of a guard and has pure passing skills where she can move with and without the basketball in her hands.</p>

<p>During the Grassroots season, Carreno was playing as a perennial post-player who can make plays happen when she had her back to the basket as well as play with high energy on the defensive end. Carreno played for Central Florida Elite where she was teammates with 5-8 senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='243892' first='Carmen' last='Richardson'], 6-0 senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='426331' first='Brooklyn' last='Henderson'] and 5-6 senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='219999' first='Jayshlynn' last='Vega']. </p>

<p>This upcoming season for Seffner Christian, Carreno will be re-joined by 5-7 freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='439457' first='Nevaeh' last='Lee'] and 5-8 sophomore guard Kendra Yates as they eye for their third consecutive 20-win season. </p>
