With having a vast amount of skilled players out of this state, throughout all age levels, to be named as basically 1 of the Top 25 for an age group, for an entire AAU season speaks volumes. It shows to everyone watching out there that no matter the stage, competition level, or situation in front of the player – They WILL succeed. Below is the list of players selected to the 15U All State-Third Team, for the spring/summer AAU season, out of the state of Iowa. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Ava Fischer Ava Fischer 5’9″ | CG Humboldt | 2026 State IA is a multi-demential guard that excels on the offensive side of the floor. Her ability to find holes in the defense and finish at the basket for a bucket or for a sweet jump-shot is impressive to say the least. This spring/summer AAU season Fischer did what she was good at. She excelled on offense by scoring the ball, she created for others multiple times a game, and she defended like her life depended on it. This high school season is going to be a big one for Fischer but if she stays locked in and continues to expand her game, she is going to be a player mentioned more then a few times this winter for her success on the floor.
A player that many people are going learn about quickly this high school season is Daya Phillips Daya Phillips 5’10” | CG Johnston | 2027 State IA . Phillips is another talented guard that can play the 1 or 2 position. Her best spot is at the off-guard but she can handle for her team under pressure if need be. She has an act for understanding her defender and what they are trying to do with the ball. Her shooting stroke is fundamental and uniform on each attempt, making it a good shot every time she lets it fly. Like I’ve said about other players going into Johnson high school this season, it’s going to be tough to see the varsity floor right away but if anyone in the 2027 class can do it, it’s one of the Phillips sisters. If they continue to play their game and stay motivated, even if they don’t see the varsity floor a ton this 2023-2024 season, they are going to be some of the best players in the state out of their class moving forward. No doubt about it.
Karis Finley Karis Finley 5’9″ | SG Cedar Falls | 2026 State IA ‘s game speaks for itself. She works hard, displays great endurance on the court, can move on the floor between the 2-3 spot currently, and always understands what her team is trying to accomplish on each individual possession. Finley has received a few Division-1 offers to compete at the next level from her performances this AAU season but she won’t be satisfied. One of the top players in the 2026 class is going to be ready to blow the top of her competition this winter. Make sure to check them out if you have a chance, you are sure to see some jaw dropping performances across the board.
Hailey Kipp Hailey Kipp 6’0″ | PF Dunkerton | 2026 State IA is a versatile athlete when it comes to the game of basketball. Kipp has nice size for her age at 6FT, she is physical and determined near the hoop, she has a high motor that doesn’t quit, and she is an overall team player. These are all intangible things that Kipp has displayed at the high school level and more-so this AAU season with her Team Iowa 2026 BlueStar team. I’m expecting a big year at Dunkerton high school for Kipp as she is going to come back with a chip on her shoulder after last season. A player with this size and that is determined, can make a lot of positive things happen on the court and she did just that this spring/summer. She just needs to ride this momentum for a few more months and she is going to be a player out of this class that jumps in the rankings after awhile. She just needs to keep showing up.
Highlights
When Reagan Baldwin Reagan Baldwin 6’0″ | C West Des Moines Valley | 2026 State IA was a freshman I would have told you that she is going to be a solid center in Iowa high school basketball. As time has gone on, I am seeing Baldwins game expand to more of a forward type position. Baldwin this AAU season showed that she is going to be a player this winter that can dominate in the post, or pop out to the three point line for a nice jump-shot. Defenses will have to game plan for Baldwin and her Perry high school team each night. If they don’t and Perry runs some good action down the floor, Baldwin is going to EAT against some teams. As for AAU season, she was definitely one of the best from the forward/center position that I saw compete at the 15U age level this season.
