She might be rated within the Top 10 but most don’t understand how good Finley is and how good she is going to be for Drake at the next level. Finley has been a big time producer ever since she was a Freshman. She has always put up major numbers while being smooth, crispy, and clean in her efforts with the basketball. She is versatile enough to move on and off of the ball and still produce results at the same rate. She is also very athletic. She never seems to run out of energy or motivation, always keeping the upper advantage in those situations. Cedar Fall is ranked highly within these Playoffs. Now they have to prove to everybody why that is.

I have always been a big fan of Karis Finley Karis Finley 5'9" | SG Cedar Falls | 2026 State IA and what she brings to the hardwood. At the next level with Drake WBB, Finley is going to play really well if put in the correct role. She is very efficient in everything she attempts to do and she is as cool as they come when she is pressured. She never seems to be out of sorts and she never seems to get flushed when errors happen to occur. Cedar Falls is currently sitting in the back, watching its prey for the right time to strike like a tiger on the hunt. They have won a good amount of their games this season already and they are in a spot where they could ponce on anyone in front of them when the time is right. Don’t count this group of Finley out. If you do, it might not end up so well for your program.

There is a lot of people sleeping on Cedar Falls High School for this upcoming season. Everyone just seems to count this group out and I don’t understand it. This is a group that has had a great presence on defense in the past and that is the type of stuff that usually gets passed on. You combined that along with Karis Finely at the SG spot and this team becomes more dangerous then most might think. Finley is a Drake WBB commit and as smooth as they come as a skilled player. She is the type that really floats with the ball and everything she is trying to accomplish on the court just seems effortless. I’m not sure how Finley fits into the system with the Bulldogs next year but I do know she will be locked in on making the most of her Senior season. Which you love to see from an outsider perspective.

Finley is most underrated Superstar that the state of Iowa has to offer in general. She isn’t loud and flashy, she simply just wants to get buckets and prove that she is better than her competition. Something we can ALL respect from an outside perceptive. Finley is crafty, athletic, fundamental, and efficient. Whenever I’ve been in to see her compete, she is never putting up bad shot attempts to forcing action. Whatever comes to her, she takes and if she needs to make something happen, she does. It’s that simple and that leads her to a ton of success in the grand scheme of things. Can’t wait to see that more this upcoming Winter and into her Freshman year with the Bulldogs.

Finley has good size at 5’9, she is someone with a three level scoring ability on offense, along with possessing a steady ability on the defensive end at the same time. Offensively, it doesn’t take much for Finley to heat up. She has a quick trigger with a swift shooting stroke, she can get to her spots at the rim at Will, and she doesn’t seem to force any of her action. The most important part of Finley’s game is that she plays basketball the right way. She is never hunting shot attempts or making a bad read. Instead, she takes what the defense gives her and that is an ability that should translate flawlessly to the next level with the Bulldogs.

Karis Finley Karis Finley 5'9" | SG Cedar Falls | 2026 State IA returns to Cedar Falls as the team’s best option on both sides of the ball, even though they are going to have some dawgs on their roster. Finley possesses a steady handle of the ball, great awareness of what to do, and she defends like her life depends on it at times. This is the only D1 commit that her program currently has and I’m excited to see how she fairs once she gets to that level. As for this season, they will go as far as Finley takes them in the grand scheme of things. She has been a constant on their team since a young age and that isn’t going to change for her Junior campaign.

As of most recent, Karis Finley Karis Finley 5'9" | SG Cedar Falls | 2026 State IA of Cedar Falls committed to stay in state and compete with the Drake Bulldogs after her high school career comes to a close in two short years. Finley is an individual that just makes things happen with her effortless ability. It might not actually be effortless but Finley always makes it seem that way, whenever she is out on the hardwood competing. I had my questions going into this AAU season if Finley was legit and if she could keep up with national competition. She answered both those questions with flying colors, killing it whenever she was playing, no matter who she was matching up against. This Winter she will be looked upon to be her group’s main producer and I’m sure she is ready for that challenge.

There is still two seasons until Karis Finley Karis Finley 5'9" | SG Cedar Falls | 2026 State IA is going to suit up as a Drake Bulldog but once she gets there, I’m sure she is going to be a staple of the program in more ways than one. Other than Finley’s natural winning ability, she is a positive influence to those around her and she communicates well in every situation imaginable from what I’ve seen. With Grace Knutson now gone due to graduation at Cedar Falls, Finley will be looked upon BIG time this next two Winters. An opportunity I’m sure she is going to take the advantage of.
