Our rankings update every three months. Prep Girls Hoops Florida scout Ross Van De Griek will be breaking down the top five players in each position for each class. This week we have our focus on the rising juniors.
The 5-7 guard is shifty and quick when she has the basketball in her hands while playing with a great pace. Munoz also sets the tone as she can facilitate on the offensive end scoring on all three levels as well as get her teammates involved early and often. On the defensive side, Munoz shows great footwork and the ability to stay in front of her opposition forcing tough shots. Munoz already has multiple D-1 schools targeting her to be a primary point guard at the next level.
The 5-9 guard should be targeting a ton of college coaches radars this upcoming season as she gets the job done on both ends of the floor. Jones-Tynes plays with great length and has a very versatile role on the floor where she can often at times play multiple positions based on rotation. On the defensive end, she is a terrific rebounder and has a great IQ by jumping the next pass to get steals and deflections.
The 5-8 guard is quick and can get to the rim in a hurry. Jordan was a bright spot for Providence last season with her three-level scoring and was very active on the defensive end. Jordan plays an absolute fearless game where she can get to the rim and finish with contact going to the free throw line often. Jordan is a sensational rebounder for her size and has very good handles in transition. Excited to see where Jordan lands as far as her recruitment goes as she heads into her junior season.
The 5-6 guard doesn’t seem to get phased when it comes to the big moment. Vega handles pressure from defenses really well and has great court vision to find an open teammate. She is a floor general where she puts up great numbers whether it’s her scoring or playmaking. Vega is one of the top tier perimeter shooters in the state for the upcoming junior class where she shot 38 percent from beyond the arc last season.
The 5-7 rising junior guard is coming off an impressive July where she plays both guard positions at a very high rate. She is a true three-level scorer who is unafraid to finish around the rim and absorb contact. Hardisson also plays sensational on-the-ball defense where she can guard multiple positions with her size and speed.
