Iturralde was one of my favorite players of the day. She attacks the rim hard and does not hinder to contact. I particularly liked the euro that she displayed multiple times throughout the 4 games. She was also one of the more talented defenders at the showcase, I appreciated her tenacity and attention to detail. Iturralde definitely needs to be on college coaches’ radar.
Highlights
Dorvilus first stood out to me because of her pace. She is always looking to push the ball in transition and dishing it out to her teammates. She is aggressive when attacking the basket and can finish through contact. She has a nice and-1 at the end of the first game! What I truly appreciated about her game was that despite the score of the game she kept playing with the same energy.
Samantha Coble
Samantha Coble
Coble is a team player who does the little things. She ran the floor hard each game and finished well in transition. She consistently crashed the boards on both offense and defense. I admired the energy and effort that she brought to each game despite her team’s struggles. She will be a nice addition to her high school team.
Kone was easily the best player in the gym but I’ve already spoken on her impressive skillset. What makes her one of my favorite players to watch is the joy that she plays with. Additionally, I felt that she was unselfish in her gameplay despite being one of the better players. She looked to get her teammates involved with plenty of great assists throughout the day. Her character paired with her skillset should draw attention from high level college coaches.
