Not your classic PG because she sets up the game with her scoring, but she does everything you want from a leader. Team Sharp goes as she goes in tough competition. When games are close, she can take over with her ability to get in the paint and finish over and around interior defenders with many creative ways to get the ball in the bucket. When defenders start playing off, she is just as comfortable sticking the 3. Defensively she can disrupt the game with her ball pressure. As a freshman at Roselle Catholic, she led the teams in 3-pointers and steals and was 2nd in FTs made, assists and points (402). Those numbers should only go up in year 2.
Has traditional PG skills and a 3-point shot that knows no limits. Tessa leads the NJ Shoreshots 2026 squad with high level ball handling and elite decision making. She plays with patience and poise. Tessa pushes the tempo and shares the ball in transition. She spots up for kick outs and confidently knocks down 3’s. Defensively, she is an opportunistic defender and takes advantage of chances to turn defense into offense. Running the show for a loaded Red Bank Catholic squad she led the team in assists and tied for 2nd in steals. In a tight game you want the ball in her hands because not only is she making good decisions, but she is a knock down shooter from the FT line.
One of my favorite PGs to watch in the Class of 2026 because of her fearlessness and relentless motor at both ends of the court. Undersized maybe but never outclassed in any aspect of basketball. Gabby has defenders on their heels all game as she pushes tempo but also knows when to slow it down and take advantage of situations. She easily blows by defenders to get in the paint and is not afraid to attack bigs inside. She can shoot it from 3 and has a pull up game to go with it. She is lightning in transition and when people fill lanes, they get rewarded. Playing up on the United 16u Select 40 squad this past season, Gabby led the show and pressured elite opposing PGs from baseline to baseline.
Highlights
This PG showed both sides of her game this season between her Demarest High School season and her Jersey Gemz 15u EYBL season. On and undermanned Demarest squad she was forced to do a lot of everything. She led the team in scoring, 3-pointers, assists and steals while finishing 2nd in rebounding. Mittelman has an elite handle and plays the game in total control, and she hurt Big North opponents both outside and on drives to the hoop. Her high IQ easily translated to her 1st season with the Jersey Gemz. Underutilized early on, in my opinion, by the time the EYBL championships came around, she was clearly one of the 5 best players on the floor for the Gemz and was always on the floor in crunch time with Ava LaMonica Ava LaMonica 5’9″ | PG Rutgers Prep | 2026 State NJ , Lexi Carnegie Lexi Carnegie 5’9″ | SF Teaneck | 2026 State NJ , Stella Lockhart Stella Lockhart 6’1″ | CG St. John Vianney | 2026 State NJ and Taylor Sofilkanich Taylor Sofilkanich 6’4″ | PF St. John Vianney | 2026 State NJ where she distributed to her weapons and spotted up from 3.
Imani was the motor that made the NJ Panthers 15u team run this past season. Strong with the ball and excellent at getting in the paint. She has great strength for a PG and uses it to finish strong through contact. She is at her best playing downhill, but she can shoot it as well. Imani is also a physical on ball defender with good feet. As a freshman at Plainfield, she led the team in assists and steals while finishing 3rd in 3-pointers and scoring. As the top dog on the NJ Panthers, she will carry that confidence into her sophomore season.
