Last Wednesday we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2025. We did not expand the list at all, so there is still a Top-75 and a watch list of another 100 prospects, so a total of 175 members of the Class of 2025 are listed on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. This quarter is more of a maintenance update heading into the high school season, but we will expand the list once again around Christmas. Below, I wanted to highlight all of the centers in the class who we currently have listed, as well as highlight a handful of ladies who stood out throughout the Summer and early Fall.

SUMMER/FALL STOCK-RISERS & ANY NEWCOMERS:

, 2025, 6-5 C, Evansville F.J. Reitz H.S.
– Kaelyse has always had size in her favor when compared to her peers, but it seemed like this July she was really starting to figure it all out. She was more assertive offensively, more active defensively, and she was changing ends of the floor much better. She has a powerful frame, and in the past, she has gotten caught up versus smaller lineups, but this Summer I felt like she played lower and really asserted herself around the basket. She has a great deal of upside.

– Caroline has always been a high-motor, active contributor on whatever team she’s played for (travel or high school). She has broad shoulders, solid strength, and nice length, plus she runs the floor well. With the Lady Eagles’ graduation losses, she should have a crack at a lot of playing time early. She has nice touch in the mid-post, she can box out or pursue rebounds, and she can defend from “help-side” or come out on the floor and help on ball screens.

– Jamaya has always been a strong kid, but she has turned that strength into extreme power. She just bullies defenders on the block, to the point she gets called for unwarranted fouls because they aren’t strong enough to handle her. She has soft hands and solid footwork, plus she has nice touch inside of 12-feet. I’ve always been impressed with her motor at her size, and she is a deceptively talented athlete. She has a great deal of next level value.

– I discussed Layla the other day, following her performance at the PGH IN Top-250, but I wanted to again point out how much improved she has played recently. She has an extremely long, wiry, but athletically strong frame. Once she learns how to completely control her abilities, she could be a matchup nightmare. She has some touch, a little ball skill, and she can defend out on the floor a little or protect the rim. She is just starting to put it all together.
