Last Wednesday we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2025. We did not expand the list at all, so there is still a Top-75 and a watch list of another 100 prospects, so a total of 175 members of the Class of 2025 are listed on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. This quarter is more of a maintenance update heading into the high school season, but we will expand the list once again around Christmas. Below, I wanted to highlight all of the combo guards in the class who we currently have listed, as well as highlight a handful of ladies who stood out throughout the Summer and early Fall.

– I realize I just mentioned Ella following her play in yesterday’s PGH Indiana Top-250 Expo, but she has put together a series of strong play over the last few months. I can’t say enough about her ability to dictate tempo, protect the ball against pressure, and not be phased by the moment. She is a strong and physical guard, but she also plays with a balanced skillset, an intelligence, a motor, and a quiet toughness to her game.

– Aubrey is one of the few additions to the 2025 list this time around, and while I have had her name for a year or so, this Summer was my first time to really watch her at length. She is a wiry-strong, smoothly athletic guard who can play both on and off the ball. She did a nice job of helping her team run offense, but she also showed the ability to get to the basket or knock down jumpers. She defended well with effort and length, too.

– Over the last couple of years, Ellie has always flashed a really nice skillset. But she has continued to tighten that skillset, plus she has learned how to play with greater urgency and make plays in the bigger moments of games. She has an athletic frame, nice length, and she’s a fairly fluid athlete in most directions. She shoots it extremely well outside, plus she does a nice job of managing offense and getting the ball where it needs to go.
Jessa Troy, 2025, 5-6 CG, Penn H.S.
– When she was younger, I felt like Jessa was much more of a specialist as a shooter/scorer. But this Summer she showed an improved handle and awareness on the ball, she took care of it well, and she was able to find open teammates in positions to score. She still shoots it extremely well from the perimeter, and she is a solid North/South athlete, but her offensive versatility will certainly help her on the recruiting front.

– I feel like each time I see Jaeda, she is a little better at most things, and she is even more well-rounded than the previous viewing. She is a really nice athlete, with a wiry-strong frame and good length. She is more so smooth/fluid than explosive, but she plays with nice pace and does have a quick first step that allows her to get downhill. She can handle, pass, shoot, and score, plus she does a nice job of defending multiple positions.
