The PGH Iowa Top 250-Expo brought together some of the best athletes in the state to come compete under one roof in Grimes, Iowa on Sunday. There were 45+ players, split up into 5 teams, that went out and gave it everything they had, competing in 3-4 contests throughout the day . Below I am going to give my evaluation of each player on Team 2 and how they look going into the high school season.

#487 - [player_tooltip player_id='497067' first='Aubrie' last='Haynes'] - 2025 - 5'6 - PG - Bondurant Farrar High School

[player_tooltip player_id='497067' first='Aubrie' last='Haynes'] demonstrates what it means to be a point guard. She understands where her players will be when they are coming down the floor and how to get them the ball in those moments. She displays a nice handle, solid vision, and a great passing ability in the half court and open court on Sunday. Haynes was one of my top point guards of the day at this event because of her way to control the tempo and pace of the game, ultimately controlling its outcome.

#495 - [player_tooltip player_id='693823' first='Aubrey' last='Schwieso'] - 2025 - 5'8 - SG/CG - Harlan Community High School

An individual with nice size and even better length, who had it on full display Sunday is [player_tooltip player_id='693823' first='Aubrey' last='Schwieso']. Schwieso is a competitor who has a nice touch on the basketball. She seems to always be in the right place at the right time, leading to a lot of success on both ends of the floor. Her shooting stroke on offense is fundamental and controlled, while she is able to guard a plethora of different types of players on the defensive side of the ball because of her natural reach. She can matchup with a smaller opponent or she can wall up against someone that maybe a little bigger. All in all, a really sound and fundamental showing by Schwieso.

#505 - [player_tooltip player_id='766449' first='Delainey' last='Durr'] - 2026 - 5'6 - PG - Solon High School

[player_tooltip player_id='766449' first='Delainey' last='Durr'] came out on Sunday and showed everyone in the gym that she is going to be a player to know this season when Solon goes on their revenge tour from last year's state tournament. Durr is a smooth operator at the point position. She moves well with or without the ball in her hands and is always trying to get others involved. I think what Durr does best is realizing a live situation. She knows when to drive and dish, compared to when she needs to drive and score a bucket for her team. I'll have my eye on Solon this year as they were my 3A favorite to win the State Championship. If they want to get that done though, Durr is going to have to be a big part of that puzzle.

#515 - [player_tooltip player_id='342167' first='Makenzie' last='Hughes'] - 2025 - 5'8 - CG - Akron/Westfield High School

[player_tooltip player_id='342167' first='Makenzie' last='Hughes'] is a player that brings up the ball so I guess she is called a point guard but I think her best ability is actually playing at the 2 spot. Hughes is a decent sized guard at 5'8, with the ability to shoot the lights out of the gym from deep. She is very good at the catch and shoot part of the game, while being a solid handler and facilitator to the others around her on the floor. If you watch any Akron/Westfield High School film you'll notice something. Most of their sets are for Hughes to get a look from deep and I think that says it all. She is going to put up big numbers this winter for her Junior year of high school ball and I can't wait to see it.

#516 - [player_tooltip player_id='314143' first='Lydia' last='Smith'] - 2024 - 5'8 - CG - Waukee High School

Waukee high school is going to have some players this year. They are going to be a team to know throughout the state of Iowa and if you don't prepare for them, it's going to be a long game. A player that will be on this roster, that I think will make a positive impact this season is [player_tooltip player_id='314143' first='Lydia' last='Smith']. Smith is a combo guard. She does a little bit of everything on both sides of the floor for her teams and it shows during each contest. There are times when Smith had glimpses on Sunday of some real skill. She was hitting open shots, defending like her life depended on it, and overall - making a productive impact for her team on the court. Smith has some talent and I can't wait to see what she does this high school season.

#520 - [player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] - 2026 - 5'9 - SG - Nodaway Valley High School

[player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] is a player to know throughout the state of Iowa and on Sunday, she showed everyone why. During each of her contest, Eisbach was doing something different that was helping her team in a positive way. In the first two games of the day, Eisbach was more of team player. Someone who got her teammates in the correct spots and ran some offense to help get others involved. In her last contest of the day, she went full-blow beast mode. She was scoring in waves, rebounding over bigger opponents, and just making all the right play. Nodaway Valley is going to have a shot this season at the state title if they can string some things together, Eisbach will be a major piece to that.

#523 - [player_tooltip player_id='534428' first='Aubrey' last='Kroymann'] - 2026 - 6'0 - C/PF - Maquoketa Valley High School

Maquoketa Valley is coming to make a name for themselves this season and I think they are going to do just that. One of the reasons being because of their young core of skilled athletes that their roster holds. One of those athletes being [player_tooltip player_id='534428' first='Aubrey' last='Kroymann']. Kroymann is lengthy, athletic, and good underneath the hoop. She moves really well down the floor, while standing right around 6 FT. She has a nice tough on the ball, with her back to the basket, with the ability to step out about 15 FT for a little mid-range pull up. Knowing the teammates that Kroymann has on the high school floor, if she can play off of them like she did last year, they are going to be a team no one wants to face come playoff time. No doubt about it.

#524 - [player_tooltip player_id='558218' first='Cora' last='Widel'] - 2026 - 6'1 - SF/PF - Maquoketa Valley High School

One of those teammates that I am talking about above with Kroymann is [player_tooltip player_id='558218' first='Cora' last='Widel']. Widel was my player of the day at this event. Her skill, athletic build, and agile movement down the floor all scream Division-1 to anyone who is watching. On Sunday, Widel was score the ball from all three levels at a high and efficient rate, rebounding over basically everyone, and setting her teammates up for success whenever she had the chance. Over the next year or so her progression will mean everything but if she stays consistent and works on the correct things, she will be competing for a MH-MM D1 program before she knows it.

#530 - Alexis DuToit - 2025 - 5'6 - F - Southeast Polk High School

Alexis DuToit is a constant on the floor. Her presence is known on each possession but mostly because of her defensive prowess. She works hard to beat her opponents to their spots and does a good job of recovering back to a position if she or a teammates ever gets beaten off of the dribble. This winter Southeast Polk is going to be a team that has some skilled players on their roster. If they can gel together either and work hard in the offseason leading up to their first game in a few months, they are going to be in good shape this winter. As for DuToit, she just needs to keep doing her thing and play with intent. If she does that, she is going to be a producer player for the Rams these next few months.
