Page Lady Patriots Team Preview

This year, we here at PGH Tennessee will embark on a new journey on highlighting teams and players throughout the state. This is something new we will be doing as we try to uncover and add value to each and every student-athlete this state has to offer. This state is rich in talent and steep in tradition. This upcoming season will be an exciting one. One that will surely be filled with lots of exciting basketball.   Today we will highlight the Page Lady Patriots!   Last year the Lady Patriots were 19-13 on the season. Don't let the record fool you as this club is better than they show on paper. Early on, they lost highly touted freshman winger [player_tooltip player_id='513279' first='Lily' last='Espelet']. Though the club battled and finished strong, this year they are poised to have a more promising squad that will look to make some noise during the season and throughout tournament time. Coach Coffman is excited about this year's club as they are deep in depth. They will look to grind teams down and use their speed to create transition buckets.   Here are some prospects that will be suiting up for the Lady Patriots.   [player_tooltip player_id='513279' first='Lily' last='Espelet'] (So./6'1/G)- Great inside out player, Lily will be bringing her talents to the hardwood after getting injured early before the season. A great multi-level scoring threat, she attacks her opponents in many ways. From dialing it up from deep to using her size inside, Lily is a bucket getter as she saws away at girls who try to guard her. Look for her to have a coming out party this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='810612' first='Mary' last='Elizabeth Fox'] (Jr./5'9/G)- Dedicated ball player who will play some major minutes for the Lady Pats. Has a nice offensive game where she can knock down shots from the arc and the mid-range consistently. She's a gym rat, working diligently to perfect her craft. Expect her to start the season strong and be a foundational block for the Lady Patriots club.   [player_tooltip player_id='816615' first='Mazie' last='Bushman'] (So./5'8/G)- Tough kid who can stroke it from deep. Has a pretty release as the ball finds the bottom of the net on a consistent basis. Had a strong summer this year as she suited up for the Stars Basketball Club. Look for her to ride this momentum and come in to contribute right away for the Lady Pats.   [player_tooltip player_id='821812' first='Mia' last='Hauptman'] (Fr./5'9/PF)- Look for this freshman to come in and contribute right away. She's a bucket inside the arc. She's a hustler who gets after it on the glass. Doesn't matter if it's on D or O, look for her to find ways to contribute in multiple statistical categories. Once she gets the speed of the HS game down, Mia is going to be a force over the next couple of years. Great basketball IQ and court awareness, her skills and love for the game will help propel her to the next level.   [player_tooltip player_id='506239' first='Meredith' last='Warner'] (Jr./5'8/G)- Don't let the smile fool you, Meredith is cut-throat when it comes to the game of basketball. She can knock the 3 ball down on a consistent clip. She defends, she gets after loose balls, she can score it, she's just an overall type of player who shines when the lights come on. Off it, sweet as can be. On it, she's going to find a way to beat you. As a great first step that enables her to pull up or attack down hill. Look for her to carve out a role as she contributes to the Lady Patriots attack.   [player_tooltip player_id='890199' first='Avery' last='Payne'] (Jr./5'7/G)- Great two-way player that has grown tremendously over the course of the year. She can stroke it from the field consistently, but prides herself on the defensive end. Quick hands, quick feet, she uses it to her advantage to create turnovers for her clubs. She will see the floor early as she will look to lock up the other teams' best scoring option. She's fearless, hungry, and desires to win by doing the little things.   [player_tooltip player_id='631119' first='Miah' last='Cabale'] (Jr./5'5/PG)- Has shown tremendous strides, yet hasn't reached her full potential yet. She's a gym-rat who has taken her training to another level. She can handle the rock, setting her team's offensive attack. She can shoot the ball consistently, knocking down 3s or coming off pick n'roll action to score it. She can defend, locking up the PG of the other club. Whatever it may be, Miah possesses the heart and soul of a ball player and is willing to do whatever it takes to help her club win. She's coachable, a hard worker, and will exhaust every ounce of her body to help uplift her club.   The 2023-2024 Lady Patriots of Page will be fun to watch. They are deep, talented, and love to get after it. Look for them to use their size and length to wear down teams. They are a great bunch of young ladies who embody hard work.
