A change of speeds ballplayer who is as solid as they come. She can knock down shots from multiple spots on the floor, but isn’t afraid to tap into her aggressive nature and finish at the rim. She has a bag of finishes: regular lay, inside hand, doesn’t matter the finish, the ball is going in. Her offensive game is solid, and she contributes in multiple ways on the defensive side as well. She’s a heady ballplayer who sparks the interest of coaches at the next level. Look for her to be a tremendous leader who will help her club make a deep tournament run.

Junior Mia Hauptman Mia Hauptman 5'9" | SF Page | 2027 State TN could be a big riser in the Prep Girls Hoops ranking in her senior season.

Hauptman has an aggressive offensive and defensive game. In the first round of the state tournament against Cookeville, she was tied for the most steals on her team with three. The relentlessness Hauptman provides goes largely into her being able to generate turnovers.

Hauptman’s aggression on offense was on display, too, at the state tourney in the first round. She had a game-high 17 points, with 13 of her points coming via the free throw line. Hauptman is definitely a player people should keep an eye on before the start of the 2026-2027 school season.

One solid two way player who gets it done on both ends of the floor. The one thing that stands out the most is her defense. Her ability to read and react and close down an area is tremendous. She anticipates well, pounces on the opportunity, and then it is off to the races. Offensively, she can score inside and out. If she is on the arc, she can spot up and knock it down at a consistent clip. Run her off the line, she will use her speed to attack the goal. This kid brings it nightly and is a solid option for the Lady Patriots.

I really like this kid’s game! She battles defensively where she has nice size and length. Showed of really impressive athleticism vs Upperman. Super dangerous when she gets out in transition. Looked really poised offensively in the half court and didn’t force anything. She’s going to be really good down the road.
