2027, 5’6, PG, Ontario Christian HS, Kaleena Smith Kaleena Smith 5'6" | PG Ontario Christian | 2027 State CA
Smith is a young player with an advanced skillset. She’s an explosive guard with the ball in her hands and can be a scoring threat or a facilitator. She’s quick and aggressive and gets to her spots on the court with no wasted dribbles. Able to finish at the basket through contact and can draw fouls and get herself to the free-throw line. Can pull-up and shoot the jumper in the halfcourt, consistent range to three-point line. Runs the offense well. Defensively, keeps up with the ball-handler and contests shots well.
2027, 5’7, CG, Bishop Montgomery HS, Armanyie Reed Armanyie Reed 5'7" | CG Bishop Montgomery | 2027 State CA
Armanyie is very explosive on the floor as a combo guard, she can score in a variety of ways, which makes her a threat at all times. She handles the ball well, she is very good in transition and she is quite the playmaker that is always looking for her teammates. She gets paint touches and allows for her teammates to get open shots cause she will drive and kick for her team to score. She shoots it well from the three point line and is a good defensive player, we love that.
2027, 5’9, SF, Cantrell Sacred Heart HS, Sofia Huerta Sofia Huerta 5'9" | SF Cantwell Sacred Heart | 2027 State CA
Huerta stood out for her defensive ability. She was a versatile defender able to guard multiple positions. She’s a wing with good length and I saw checking bigger players in the post as well as keeping up with smaller guards off the dribble. She made a lot of hustle plays too, always seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
2027, 5’7, CG, Rancho Cucamonga HS, Nakia Perkins Nakia Perkins 5'7" | CG Rancho Cucamonga | 2027 State CA
Perkins stood out as a developing scoring wing. She has good length for a wing and good instincts scoring the ball. What really stood out though was her off ball movement. She did a good job putting herself in position to score whether it was cuts to the basket or sneaking in for offensive rebounds. She can handle the ball and is able to get to the rim off the dribble where she can finish well.

Yeh was one of the better point guards I saw. She was steady and consistent. A fundamental player. She sees the floor well especially in transition. She did a good job firing outlet passes to sprinting teammates. Also can slow the tempo down and play in the halfcourt. Good ball-handler who consistently got to the basket.
2027, 5’8, CG, Santiago HS, Andrea Alamo Andrea Alamo 5'8" | CG Santiago | 2027 State CA
Alamo was one of the better ball-handlers of the event. She’s a tall wing who can be a primary ball-handler. She does a good job pushing the pace in transition. She’s very unselfish. She looks for her teammates over her own shot. She keeps the offense running. I didn’t see her score much in the game I saw but she made an impact simply by moving the ball.
2027, 5’10, SF, Brea Olinda HS, Penelope Martinez Penelope Martinez 5'10" | SF Brea Olinda | 2027 State CA
long body and lanky guard with a nice feel for the game, she is capable of scoring at the rim and midrange. She plays great defense as well and can make plays for her teammates. She ran the floor well and could catch and finish in transition, but she also knew how to pass the ball to make others look good on the floor. With her size, she will be able to move her game outside the perimeter and blow by any guard trying to defend her.
2027, 5’10, SF, San Joaquin Memorial HS, Gia Souza Gia Souza 5'10" | SF San Joaquin Memorial | 2027 State CA
Gia is long and lengthy with lots of growth potential. She is aggressive on the offensive end with the ball, she makes good decisions on the court. Gia showed some spurts of her being able to be a good scorer, we loved what we saw from her, she has a bright future ahead of her.
2027, 5’4, CG, Oak Park HS, Maya Deshautelle Maya Deshautelle 5'4" | PG Oak Park | 2027 State CA
Maya defends well, especially from the weak side. She got multiple steals in the games we watched her play, she was a straight thief on defense. Best thing she does offensively is attacking the basket and backs it up with solid shooting from mid range. This kid will be a good one to watch from now on, she has some good potential skills.
2027, 5’10, PG, Natomas Charter Leading Edge (CA), Kori Rogers Kori Rogers 5'10" | CG St Marys Stockton Ca | 2027 State CA – athletic and gifted beyond means, she can handle it, she can make the right decisions and she can score the ball from two of the three levels on the floor. She need work on the three line shot, but her game makes up for that deficiency by the way she plays so hard.
2027, 5’7, PG, Rancho Verde HS, Aniah Green – Genesis Hoops
Green stood out as a strong guard with a crafty dribble. She can bump defenders off and bully her way to the basket. Finishes strong through contact. She’s decisive and makes quick, aggressive moves to the basket. She’s a scorer and is comfortable looking for her own shot. Strong on the glass, especially on the offensive end getting put-backs. More of a secondary ball-handler.

Ireland is a big point guard. She has good height and length and is comfortable as a playmaker/primary ball-handler. She ran the offense in the game I saw. She can see over the defense and makes the right reads/passes. Good decision making in reading defense and knowing where to make the pass. Very unselfish. Uses her size to hit the glass. Able to consistently knock down catch and shoot threes.
2027, 4’10, PG, Zoe Iwanaka Zoe Iwanaka 4'10" | PG N/A | 2027 State CA
Iwanaka stood out as a solid ball-handler who can sometimes play either guard position. She was good off the ball and alongside another playmaker and she can handle the ball if needed. A little small but can still be effective. Moves well off the ball and is a good catch and shoot three-point shooter especially from the corners. A good player to watch as she enters high school.
2027, 5’9, SF, Sierra Canyon HS, Sydney Roberson Sydney Roberson 5'9" | SF Sierra Canyon | 2027 State CA
Roberson is a big wing with good length who can be a primary ball-handler/playmaker. In the game I saw, she was trusted as the team’s main facilitator. She has an advantage against most guards due to her height/size. She’s comfortable creating her own shot and was the only consistent source of offense for her team. Good pull-up jumper in the halfcourt. Good passing in the halfcourt as well, recognizing defense and finding open players.

Kiley is a good at the catch and shoot part of the game, she knows how to get to her spots and make shots, she is improving everyday on the one and two dribble attacks with the ball. She is a willing player that is not afraid to mix it up in the paint, which makes her a decent rebounding player. She is also a good defender displaying good lateral movement that allows her to be a decent defender on and off the ball.

Cabrera was one of the better point guards I saw. She’s small but effective. Very quick off the dribble and consistently was able to get past the defense and into the paint. Pushes the ball ahead in transition and keeps her head up while dribbling. She’s pass first in the halfcourt and can make good entry passes. Able to play off screens and can shoot if the defense sags.

Aliyah is a very impactful post player for her team, she has great size and is an athletic specimen to say the least, she will lend some great minutes to her team this season as a freshman.
