Emma made the jump to #3 after being in the #12 spot last time around. She had a really solid spring picking up several offers along the way. Emma received offers from UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Wilmington, USC-Upstate and Abilene Christian to name a few this Grassroots season.
Emma brings versatility to the floor with her ability to finish around the cup or step-out and knockdown the jumper. She will bring the ball up the floor and finish drives to the bucket. Emma constantly keeps moving on both ends of the floor. She plays the game with a very good basketball understanding.
Soltys is looking to guide the Lady Mavericks back to the Class 5A Finals again this season. Delilah has sprouted up a few inches in the process it seems also for the Lady Mavericks. She has moved up to the #5 spot after being ranked #9 previously.
Soltys picked up some offers from the likes of George Mason, Wake Forest, James Madison, UNC-Greensboro and Monmouth this spring and summer.
Molly really came to play this summer and recently at the SCBCA Elite Camp. She jumped up to #6 in the class after being ranked #17 last time around. Molly and sister Emma give the Lady Green Wave a strong duo in the Lower State in Class 5A.
Molly has a nice skill set to finish drives to the bucket when she’s not looking for an open teammate on the floor. She does a great job of rebounding the ball well from her position on the floor. Daugherty is a shot maker from the perimeter and does it at a very high clip.
Monsanto just makes progress every time we see her play on the court. She brings a great energy and effort to the floor whenever she plays. Sabreya picked up an offer from Newberry (SC) NCAA this summer.
Monsanto plays the game at full speed at all times. She’s looking to expand a bit more with her play in the backcourt at times as a ball-handler. Sabreya will make crisp passes from out top and really look to push the tempo at times. She has no problems jumping on the deck for a loose 50/50 ball or taking a charge on the defensive end of the floor.
Peay understands on how to gets things done around the paint area. KeMarja can manufacture points and rebounds all game long with just effort. Peay feels comfortable knocking down short jumpers and really putting the rock on the deck for a few dribbles to the cup. She plays very active on both ends of the court when it comes to rebounding the ball.
Crosland feeds off energy and effort from the wing position. Lauren can knockdown shots from the perimeter. She plays great in the passing lanes collecting a few deflections every game it seems. Lauren is extremely coachable and really brings a great attitude to the floor. Crosland chimes in at #32 this time around after being #41 back in June.
Highlights
Youmans plays at a small Class 1A school down in Orangeburg County. Tilayiza is a great athlete who excels in several sports for the Lady Trojans. She plays her best basketball in attack mode to the cup. Youmans makes the move up to #48 after being #64 in the last rankings.
Tilayiza is still a raw talent on the hardwood. She piled up big numbers last season at the Class 1A level. Youmans is extremely athletic on the floor and still has her best basketball in front of her down the road.
Mustapher is one of the only returners back on this Lady Knights team this coming season. Ciara helped Stratford HS get to the Class 5A State Championship Game last season before falling to Mauldin HS. Ciara is best suited knocking down shots out on the perimeter. She will have to look to score a bit more this coming season for the Lady Knights.
