We get very excited when players announce their commitments to schools continuing their basketball careers. Let’s take a look at some of the recent athletes who have committed to schools after their senior seasons.
Zoe Adams is a name known across the southeast with her play making abilities. She has some nice height to be able to elevate over her opponents scoring around the perimeter or attacking the basket finishing at the rim. She is an excellent ball handler creating her own plays, and she will certainly find other ways to contribute like getting inside for rebounds.
Delanie Hill has showed an excellent progression in her high school career. She was able to play various guard positions handling the ball and setting herself up as a shooting guard. She’s turned into a nice point guard handling the ball and controlling the tempo, but she’s one that knows how to create her own scoring opportunities. Her sharp shooting around the arc is certainly going to be on display at the next level.
Taylor Barner is already going into her senior season as a state champion, and she’s a major reason her team was able to come home with some hardware. Her ball handling has always been exceptional throughout her high school career as she knows exactly what move to make to get to the basket. She is quick losing her defenders easily as she pulls up for her shot. Her IQ translates well to the defensive side as she can strip the ball from her opponents easily grabbing the steal and making sure her team scores off these turnovers.
Janiah Shular is another athlete on the list who has certainly shown a lot of improvement and expansion in her game across her high school career. She can easily score inside handling herself in the paint against post players. She’s expanded the floor handling the ball showing leadership as she knows how to get offensive sets going to score points for her team. She can guard a range of players on the other end showing her versatility on the court.
