[player_tooltip player_id='346885' first='Mikayla' last='Paschal'] was a standout power forward at the showcase and very active in the painted area. What didn't Paschal do in the paint is the question? Rebounded well - check; Played well in the pick and roll - check; Shot the nice turn-around jumper in the paint - check; Taking it to the rim- check. Paschal also checked the defensive box and the hustle box as well. She defended guards on the perimeter and the bigs in the middle, and ran the floor on both sides of the ball. Paschal was a definitely a standout.

Zora Hill was tough to handle in the paint. Hill had power, soft hands, good footwork, and knew how to put the ball in the basket. Hill did a good job of getting position and once she sealed the defender it was over. Hill drew praise from some of the college coaches, and I may have seen one of the coaches put a check by her name.

Hagar Baldwin-Toles was one special power forward player who possessed a motor, athleticism, and skill set to defend inside and outside. That baseline midrange jumper was nice and she made that shot several times on the day. She did a good job of transitioning from offense to defense and once on defense, she protected the paint. She showed good speed and filled the lane like a guard or small forward. On the rebounds , she did a good job of tracking the ball and getting offensive rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='428046' first='Izellah' last='Kendrick'] is just a special player and is strong and powerful on the inside. A few times on pick and roll she got matched with a guard and it was just automatic points. It was usually automatic when she got in the paint and around the basket. Kendrick also had the ability to step out of the paint and shoot the midrange shot. The true power forward could also step behind the arc and shoot the long ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='786736' first='Summer' last='Snaith'] was a quiet player on the court, but every time you looked up she was making plays. She was never the first option on the offensive possessions, but she made her presence felt and was instrumental in her team going undefeated for the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='788718' first='Sumayah' last='McIntosh'] took a pass while running on the left wing and then exploded to the rim. McIntosh was a versatile player who played with power, but could also handle the ball like a guard. Defensively, she defended in the paint and also on the wing.
