<p>The 8th region is one of the toughest regions in Northern Kentucky. It is loaded with great teams, talented players, and high-level coaches. Below I have listed 6-10 of the top 10 teams in the region.</p>

<p><strong>Walton-Verona-</strong>Lost their leading scorer from last season but return an inside/outside combo that will be tough to handle. [player_tooltip player_id='403472' first='Braylin' last='Terrell'] at 6'2 will be a force in the paint on both ends and [player_tooltip player_id='494689' first='Elin' last='Logue'] their second leading scorer from last season is one of the top shooters in Kentucky.<br><strong>2023-2023 Record: Regular Season 16-14, Region 8-6, District 0-3</strong></p>

<p><br><strong>Spencer County-</strong>Battle tested team that is always there to contend a the end of the year, very well coached team. [player_tooltip player_id='1252822' first='Ella' last='Brown'] will be a top player in the region once again this season.<br><strong>2023-2023 Record: Regular Season 24-9, Region 15-4, District 8-2</strong></p>

<p><br><strong>Oldham County-</strong>Returning one of the top players in the region in Adriana Palazzolo who averaged 13.5PPG last season. They have built a good team around her, I see Oldham County having a much better region record this season.<br><strong>2023-2023 Record: Regular Season 14-15, Region 2-8, District 0-3</strong></p>

<p><br><strong>North Oldham-</strong>A team that went to the regional semis last season. Tough, hungry team that has improved every year. The second leading scorer [player_tooltip player_id='638832' first='Gracie' last='Sipes'] transferred from South Oldham back to North Oldham. So I expect her and [player_tooltip player_id='619619' first='Katherine' last='Smith'] to step up in a big way this season.<br><strong>2023-2023 Record: Regular Season 18-15, Region 6-8, District 2-2</strong></p>

<p><br><strong>Shelby County-</strong>Will have to replace their top scorer from Last season.
