Stevenson has a new address this season after leaving Legion Collegiate this past summer. Aubrey now attends Class 5A Rock Hill HS in the Upstate. Stevenson a shifty point guard ran with Team Curry on the Grassroots Circuit this past summer.
Aubrey has picked up several offers this off season from NCAA D1 schools. She really likes to keep the ball on a string and race by defenders. Aubrey excels in the open court and getting the ball to the cup. She touches the paint on a regular basis while dropping off a dime to one of her teammates along the way.
Can she help the Lady Bearcats make some noise in the Upstate this coming season?
Watkins really came to play today for her squad. Tamia was a former teammate of Aubrey Stevenson Aubrey Stevenson 5’7″ | PG Rock Hill | 2025 State SC at Legion Collegiate last year. She’s back at her old high school Andrew Jackson HS in Kershaw County. Watkins a left-handed forward really was looking to show off her ballhandling skills today as she brought the ball up the floor quite a bit.
Tamia is best suited around the cup as a combo forward. She was able to claim several rebounds here today and especially outside of her area. Tamia is a rebounding machine, and she does a nice job of keeping the ball up high at all times.
Watkins will start her junior year for the Lady Volunteers with 1,516 points and 978 rebounds in her career.
Kadence brings TOUGHNESS, GRIT and FLOOR BURNS to the table every time she plays. She leaves it all out there while doing it around the paint area. She understands her strengths and that’s playing HARD and staying productive around the paint area. Kadence really influences a game by not just scoring the ball. She has a blue-collar attitude and determination you can’t teach. Kadence always remains vocal and really thrives on playing through contact while on the floor.
She helped the Lady War Eagles win a Class 2A State Championship a season ago.
Dowling was able to finish drives to the basket with either hand here today. Te’Ericka connected on some perimeter bombs behind the three-point line. She plays the game from out top at a very good pace and understanding.
Dowling understands on when to attack or simply run the offense. Te’Ericka makes plays for herself along with making plays for her teammates.
Emma brings a good skill set to the table with her play. She rebounds the ball very well on both ends of the floor. She can make drives from the top of the key to the rim or simply pull-up with a nice mid-range jumper. She understands on how to seal and make herself available away from the ball. Emma always remains active on both ends of the court and can impact a game with a pass, rebound, shot, deflection, charge or a floor burn.
Emma has several offers already from her play this past Grassroots season.
Molly gave the best performance Prep Girls Hoops saw here today. At one point she connected on like 5 straight three pointers in a game stretch. She played extremely aggressive on both ends of the court. Molly was able to set-up her teammates with her ability to penetrate-kick into the lane. She plays the game very unselfish and never looks to force any shots on the floor.
Molly utilized the old school bounce pass when she was hitting a mid-range jumper here today. Daugherty had a good Grassroots Circuit season and picked up some offers along the way. She plays the game with a very good skill set and IQ.
Can Summerville be the team to beat in Class 5A in the Lower State this season?
Jenkins really showed some old flashes of herself here today with her play. She didn’t play much this spring and summer after being injured. Jasmyn started off her high school career at Myrtle Beach HS before landing at Carvers Bay HS this past year.
The left-handed Jenkins showed her confidence from the perimeter with her ability to knockdown some three-pointers. She drove the ball to the rack and finished along the baseline here today.
