SubscribePrep Girls Hoops Michigan recently updated their prospect rankings for the class of 2025. Rankings updates usually have players that can classified as stock-risers. These can be players that have risen in either the number next to their name or the general perception of their game. Let’s look at a few of the stock-risers in this update of the class of 2025 prospect rankings.
Lay was just a stock-riser this summer and did it once again. She has interest from a variety of schools, including D1 programs. Lay is a smooth athlete that can make plays both in a half court set as well as in transition. She’s the type of player that doesn’t have to be shot heavy to have a big influence on the outcome of the game.
France was one of the biggest movers on the list of prospects. Quite simply, she’s developed her game and become one of the top post prospects in the class. France is a very technically sound and smart player. She plays over top and secures the ball with strength. France is a really solid all around athlete that can move laterally with ease.
If you saw Rickli at the PGH Michigan Top 250, then you know exactly why you see her name here. She was pretty much dominant at the event. Rickli showed off terrific offensive footwork in the paint, using her pivot foot to create looks at the rim. She was versatile offensively with the ability to hit the floor and hit mid range jumpers. Rickli can protect the rim defensively.
Highlights
Schwalbach almost seems like an obvious stock riser at this point. Her name and her game blew up this summer and fall. She’s a multi level scorer that can attack if the defense steps out and can bury a jumper with 3 point range if they step back. Schwalbach’s versatile offensive scoring wasn’t the only thing that stood out. She’s a solid passer and defender as well.
I was lucky enough to see Deboer play in her first varsity scrimmage a couple years back. She can flat out shoot the rock and that was obvious from day 1. Deboer isn’t just a shooter, she’s a big shot taker and big shot maker. She’s done a terrific job developing as an all around athlete and that has served her greatly as a basketball player.
