Adrian Prospect Camp: Upperclassmen Who Impressed

The Adrian College Prospect Camp gave upperclassmen another opportunity to compete, sharpen their skills, and showcase different parts of their games in front of the coaching staff. Throughout the day, I watched players work through drills before getting a chance to put everything together during 5v5 action. Several of the more experienced prospects had strong moments, whether it was knocking down shots, attacking the basket, creating for teammates, making plays defensively, or bringing energy to the floor. Not every performance looked the same, but this group gave me plenty to take away from the day. Here's a closer look at some of the upperclassmen who impressed me at the Adrian College Prospect Camp.    Brooklynn showed why her versatility can be such an asset, with the ability to impact the game both inside and out. She shot the ball extremely well throughout the drill work and wasted no time carrying that over to 5v5 action, knocking down a logo three on the very first possession. Brooklynn also showed she can attack off the bounce, using a nice ball fake to get past her defender and getting downhill when opportunities opened up. She ran the floor hard in transition and was rewarded with a bucket. Defensively, Brooklynn plays with a high basketball IQ, consistently putting herself in the right position, recognizing action as it develops, and bumping cutters as they come through the lane. It turned out to be an even bigger day for Brooklynn, as she finished the Adrian College Prospect Camp by committing to Adrian.     Bella is a 2028 forward who showed the ability to contribute in multiple areas at the Adrian College Prospect Camp. She displayed her range throughout the day, knocking down multiple shots from behind the arc and showing she can stretch the floor from the forward position. Bella also rebounded the ball well, using her size and activity to help on the glass. On the defensive end, she anticipated the action well, jumping passing lanes and coming away with several steals. Her combination of perimeter shooting, rebounding, and defensive activity gave her a solid showing on the day.     Valeria is a 2027 wing who already holds an offer from Adrian and put together a strong shooting day at the Adrian College Prospect Camp. During drill work, she consistently connected from behind the arc and in the mid-range, showing a smooth, confident jumper. That shooting carried right into 5v5 action, where Valeria knocked down several threes and mid-range jumpers. She also showed she can put the ball on the floor, using a strong rip to get by her defender and finish at the basket. On the defensive end, Valeria used her length well to bother opponents and make things difficult. Her ability to score at multiple levels, paired with her length and versatility, made for a strong day.     Madeline is a 2027 post player who already holds an offer from Adrian and showed her ability to be productive around the basket at the Adrian College Prospect Camp. She made a nice slash to the rim and finished while absorbing contact, showing her strength around the paint. Madeline was also active on the offensive glass, pulling down a rebound and going right back up through contact for an and-one finish. She rebounded well throughout the day, giving her team a steady presence on the glass and creating additional opportunities with her work around the basket.     Caitlyn is a 2027 guard who holds an offer from Adrian and showed how her length and athleticism can impact the game on both ends of the floor. She made several plays defensively, including a big block on the perimeter and an impressive chase-down block in transition. Caitlyn also helped turn rebounds into offense, pushing the pace off defensive boards with her head up and delivering some well-timed passes to teammates in transition. In the half court, she showed she can create for herself, ripping past her defender off the bounce and getting downhill. She also displayed a smooth pull-up jumper, adding another option to her offensive game. Her ability to defend, create in transition, and score off the dribble gave her a strong showing at the Adrian College Prospect Camp.     Ava is a 2027 guard who put together a solid day at the Adrian College Prospect Camp. She shot the ball well throughout the drill work and carried that into 5v5 action, knocking down multiple shots from behind the arc. Ava also showed the ability to create off the bounce, using a quick crossover to get past her defender and attacking the basket, where she finished through contact. She contributed on the offensive glass as well, coming away with extra possessions for her team. In transition, Ava pushed the pace with her head up and showed good vision as a passer, looking to create opportunities for her teammates. Her combination of perimeter shooting, ball handling, and playmaking gave her several ways to contribute throughout the day.     Amor is a 2027 guard who already holds an offer from Adrian and showed her ability to contribute on both ends of the floor at the Adrian College Prospect Camp. She has a good handle and plays with control when the ball is in her hands, while also showing strong passing instincts. Amor was especially effective in transition, where she delivered multiple well-timed passes to teammates and helped create scoring opportunities in the open floor. Defensively, she showed active hands and made things difficult for opposing ball handlers. Her ball control, passing ability, and defensive activity gave her a productive day in the backcourt.
