It’s the last ride for these seniors, so let’s take a look at some of the seniors looking to finish strong this year.
Olivia Burke has been a high motor guard her entire high school career knowing how to push the tempo or settle down for an offensive set. She can finish at the rim on both sides banking it off the glass or scoring off of floaters in the paint. She has a nice shot from deep showing her range shooting the ball, and she moves well with and without the ball looking for the open space.
Tamia Darden is smooth knowing how to handle the ball and create the shooting opportunities for her team. She knows how to use her double moves to get the space she wants. It’s not to be flashy but truly showing patience in getting the right opportunity. She attacks the paint drawing defenders towards her as she finds her teammates open with her passes. She’s aggressive on the other end, too, being able to defend all over the court.
Highlights
Bailee Goodlett uses her quickness to make some strong moves on offense like jump stopping for her shot or blowing by her opponents finishing at the rim. Her high motor is sure to give her opponents trouble as she pushes the tempo and drives hard downhill. She can step outside knocking down her shot around the arc, too. She’s feisty on defense knocking the ball away from her opponents taking the steal the other direction.
Kennedy Hilsenroth has battled against the best of them on the block. Her wide stance and solid strength make it easy for her teammates to get the entry pass to her, and she goes to work using her post moves to score off the glass. She’s tough getting rebounds on both ends of the court, and she makes her defenders pay getting second chance points off offensive boards.
Highlights
Reese Fritz has been known her whole high school career as a deep threat consistently showing off her ability to knock down shots from around the perimeter. She’s been expanding her ability on the court, though, as she is more than just a shooter. She can handle the ball well finding her open teammates or creating the open lanes she needs to get to the rim. Her ability to get inside fighting for position shows off her versatility and willingness to step up on all areas for her team.
Highlights
Jessica Worthey is a three level scorer being able to post up inside scoring two points or set herself up around the perimeter to score three. She’s as tough as they come muscling her way for some points and grabbing rebounds inside. She uses this strength for her shots, too, being able to pull up after creating her own space. She hustles up the court being ready for the pass scoring on a fast break.
