SubscribeMonday was a fun one to watch in Knoxville at Grace Christian Academy. Washburn walked away with a win! Final score was 49-43. Below are a few notable players:
Hannah Williams finished the game with 16 points. This young athlete never takes a play off. High motor kid on offense and defense. Hannah provides her team with all of the little things that you won’t see on a stat sheet. You will see Williams working hard to get deflections, jump balls, and you will see her giving up her body to dive for loose balls!
Ebany Hill finished the game with 15 points. Hill had 9 quick points from three point land that felt like they were back to back. Ebany had an all around solid game by not only scoring but rebounding and helping lead her Washburn team to victory.
Saylor Clay Saylor Clay 5'7" | PG Washburn | 2025 State TN finished the game with 12 points. 12 hard earned points! When I tell you that Grace Christian had her number all night, I’m not lying. They knew where the shooter was and they made sure to defend her! Clay has a beautiful outside shot, I doubt any other teams leave her open!
Callie Nicley provides a tough senior leadership! You may not see her numbers sky rocket on the scoring column. She’s a pass first post that is fully capable of scoring when she gets the ball too! Draws a lot of attention in the low block so when she flashes to get the ball, the double team seems to be there, but she uses her size extremely well and recognizes what the defense gives her.

and Alexis Hammock did not dress for the game. I know they were missed but the “next man up” mentality was definitely there. Grace Christian may be the youngest team in the state of Tennessee. Don’t quote me on that but I know they are definitely up there! The youth mistakes are going to happen, but anyone can live with that. The coaches have this Grace team locked in & believing!
Mattie Beard was stellar! Knocking down 3’s and finishing! I was left really impressed with Beard’s style of play! The freshman is going to be deadly at the 3 point line. Beautiful mechanics with a beautiful release! This young star has an incredibly high ceiling!
I still can’t believe that Kendall Mavroff is an 8th grader. Extremely physical on the court. A physicality that you don’t usually see in 8th graders playing up. I loved watching Kendall finish through contact and complete the old fashioned 3 point play.
Aniyah Duvall is a freshman post that definitely let glimpses off her physical strength come out! Duvall was finishing at the rim, rebounding, and doing what was expected. Aniyah is going to be a handful in the paint and extremely hard to guard.
Hayden Hill was the energizer bunny that almost ran out of gas! Truly the best way to describe this tough competitor is the energizer. Extremely high energy kid that gives her all on the court till she physically can’t. Good on ball defender and a do-it-all kid. I loved watching Hill leave all of it out on the court!
It was a great win for a talented Washburn team. Expect to hear more about them & the young talented Grace squad!
